I’m hoping it won’t effect us because we are already here. I’ve been here since early January so it would definitely be more dangerous if I went home then if I just stayed here?

"Suspended" -> you're getting what you paid for, just not when you expected.

That’s what I’m wondering about too. I just received my EAD/AP combo card but still awaiting to be scheduled for an interview at my local USCIS office which is currently closed.

I had a glimmer of hope this morning when I spoke to the Embassy about an emergency appointment for my k1 interview... guess that’s out the window now. Just when I thought this nightmare couldn’t get any worse.

Yeah, but if the idea is to protect American jobs, why not just stop issuing SSNs and green cards to foreigners now?
