  1. Dearest People, please help us with an advice! Yesterday we got an update notice from the NVC. They approved all of our provided documents (AoS, civil documents, etc.), except for the forms I-864 for my husband and his father (we have a joint sponsor). In the explaining notice they stated, that all of the pages must be submitted, so I’m assuming my husband missed uploading all of the pages. Had anyone faced this before? Do they actually need pages even that they do not read? And do they mention all of the mistakes in the explaining comment? Thanks everyone so much in advance. I was just broken today’s morning, when we got everything accepted, except those two forms. So disappointing.
  2. Hi guys, I completed my interview and my passport pick up date was in March (I got a yellow slip) . However, the day before my pick up- the embassy announced that they are closing for COVID. The country has opened officially from last week but the US embassy remains closed. I have emailed them regarding this and they reply with an automated email. Any idea how i could reach them? and when the embassy might open? My husband and I miss each other so much and it has been so long I wish i could see him soon.
  3. Do we know if the i130 petitions (spousal visa, etc.) are still being processed? It sounds like only interviews have been cancelled, but am I correct in thinking that they are still doing paperwork for the ones that haven't been approved yet?
  4. President Donald Trump said Monday that he is temporarily suspending immigration to the United States in response to the coronavirus pandemic and the "need to protect jobs." In a tweet Monday night (April 20th), the president attributed the suspension to an "attack from the Invisible Enemy" and the "need to protect the jobs of our GREAT American Citizens." Highlights (updated as of 4/21 28am PT, 2020) President Donald Trump said he will sign an executive order temporarily suspending immigration into the United States. It could come as early as Tuesday. The order will include exemptions for migrant farmworkers and immigrant healthcare workers, particularly those treating coronavirus patients, The Wall Street Journal reported. Immigration into the US has already ground to a near-halt due to the coronavirus pandemic, and it's unclear what immediate effects Trump's order would have. Anybody have any other news or opinions on this? Do you think it would have an effect on K1 fiance or spouse visas? https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/donald-trump/trump-says-he-suspending-immigration-over-coronavirus-need-protect-jobs-n1188416 https://www.foxnews.com/politics/trump-suspend-immigration-executive-order-coronavirus https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-52363852 https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-immigration-order-to-include-farm-healthcare-exceptions-2020-4
  5. Hello! I am super thrilled knowing that we are approved!! The next step is submitting other documents and visa interview. The only problem I have right now is, I found out that my Interview Location is in Manila, PH. Where in fact I am currently residing with my husband here in the US. I am asked to to submit the DS-260 and pay other fees. No problem with that but we want to make sure first that we are in the right process. CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME HOW/WHO TO CONTACT or HOW CHANGE THE LOCATION OF MY INTERVIEW LOCATION to USA not Manila, PH? Thank you so much!!
  6. So now that there’s coronavirus going around the planet - obviously the immigration process for those who already got approval from USCIS and currently at the NVC stage will be delayed?? How do you guys think?? Several weeks or even more? I feel so unlucky...
  7. Hi everyone. I submitted the DS260, AOS and supporting docs on 10/22 and 10/23 respectively. To my pleasant surprise, two days later on10/25, I received notice that the documents have been accepted and as such, we are now pending an interview date. Can anyone who is going thru or passed thru this step advise on how long it took them to receive an interview date? I'm praying it's soon. Thanks, folks!
  8. My wife was issued a visa but she wasn’t given the packet that she will travel with. Anyone know anything about this or have similar cases? Thank you
  9. My Husband New employment Payslip shows a deduction for Medicaid or Medicare but He has never used Medicaid or Medicare. He pays for all his Medical treatments, His employer says its a compulsory deduction and everyone contributes to Medicare or Medicaid even if they are not using it, is that a public charge?
  10. Really need help on this one. American citizen, native born, married a Filipino and had a child. I want to take my spouse to visit my home and family, but we DO NOT want to stay. We had already tried to obtain a K1 visa before we married, but ended up at an impasse because we were unable to acquire a police clearance from a certain country because the country will not issue one to non-natives. You can get one by bribery, which we did. They then processed it for 3 months, but dated it for the date of bribery, withheld the document, and then gave it to us 3 days before it's expiration. Tried to explain everything to consulate/embassy. They didn't care, obviously. We need a visa where we can skip this step as it is not possible to obtain these documents legally. Also, a visa that will not limit our travel. We wish to remain abroad. Any and all help or advice is greatly appreciated!
  11. Greetings, My I-130 application was initially transferred to Potomac service center (priortity date 9/24/18) to the National Benefits Center 5 months later around February 1st. I am the USA citizen petitioner and recently received a notice to come to my local immigration office for an official matter on the 25th of March. The beneficiary is in Jamaica and NOT in the USA. The letter states to bring the letter, passports, marriage certificate, birth cert for me and the beneficiary and evidence of a bona fide marriage. I am confused and seeking any information as to why a request was made to come to a local office and is this request solely for me but why? My original i130 contained these requested documents along with i130a. We are not adjusting status as he is in Jamaica. The letter does reference his A number as he was already known to immigration. Thank you for any insight.
