  1. I thought this was here to aid in my research? If it bothers you so much to help others please keep moving but keep your negative comments to yourself.
  2. I am preparing all the paperwork to do the AOS and I was wondering about the I-131 advanced parole application, can it be sent in later or should it be sent in with the AOS paperwork. I like the idea of it being there if we so chose to use it but the cost is prohibitive so I don't want to spend the money unless there are more pros than cons for doing so now instead of later.
  3. I am trying to determine if it is just the corner that you spoke of
  4. My fiance's visa packet arrived damaged what is the protocol for this? Thanks!
  5. Why will the bags not be checked through to the final destination?
  6. My fiancé will be arriving in America in about 10 days and my question is, will the point of entry be the first U.S. airport, which is a 3 hour layover in LAX, or the arrival where I actually live, Wich is ATL?
  7. I found out about Philpost the hard way, I mailed documents using the USPS and my fiance had a four hour argument with a Philpost worker and camped out in the local office untill someone would search for the package that had been sitting there for days with no attempt at delivery.
  8. Has anyone added their fiancé(e) to one, or more, of their credit cards while still in the Philippines? I am considering doing this so that there are funds available for incidentals and emergencies. I know many companies charge a foreign transaction fee so I will avoid those cards but I have not contacted any of my cards to see if they will mail to the Philippines so if anyone has any input I would appreciate it. Thanks.
  9. I am having an issue with form I-134, Affidavit of Support. I work two jobs, the first one I am a self-employed hairstylist and I rent a chair in salon. The second job is also a hairstylist but I am an employee working for a national chain. I was told by Rapid Visa, yes I paid for their services before I knew Visa Journey existed, that I can not list that I am both employed and self employed in the section that covers my employment but I could list it on the supplemental page? This does not make sense to me but it is the government. What do all of you think?
  10. So it is okay to schedule the interview before the status is Ready?
  11. When I check the status with the link you sent I get this message, "Your case is in transit to the Consular Section. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center. ", but I have not submitted anything nor set up an interview date. Is this just a canned response that is sent until it reaches "Ready" status?
  12. I can't use the tracking site with my phone so I will have to wait until I get home. Thanks for the link.
  13. Thanks everyone! They responded to my email and I have my case number.
  14. It has been 34 days since I received my NOA2 and I still have heard nothing from the NVC. I have searched through the timelines and have seen others with similar NOA2 received dates that have and have not heard from the NVC. I understand there is a backlog going on at this time but what is a reasonable amount of time to wait?
