My husband's denied file was sent back to the USCIS, and was then re-affirmed by them, without need for any additional evidence such as for an NOIR. Of course, I'm happy about this, but now I'm confused about what will happen at the second interview, once his file gets back to Ghana. Will he have to go to the second interview with even more evidence? It's not a problem, we speak everyday, though we haven't seen each other in a year, while we have been waiting for all this to clear up. Any advice is appreciated. I know he'll probably have to get a new police certificate, and perhaps a new medical (I believe the medical is good for one year). -
Hello guys!! Quick question, I had my interview today and I was given a 221(g) form and the consular officer has ticked on “further consideration will be given to your visa application after we receive the items checked below” so he has checked financial documents and evidence of relationship. And I submitted them just now. Is this a bad sign? They kept my passport and original birth certificate and marriage certificate and the translations. What could happen next? At the interview the consular officer didn’t even wanna look at the evidence I brought there. If I’m getting the visa will I have to be interviewed again? Any possible red flags about my experience today? -
I was a regular reader of the last London thread to keep myself updated with current timelines etc before it went to 70+ pages and way off topic. I thought it was such a useful resource so I’ve decided to start the ball rolling again so we can keep each other updated on news as it comes in. To kick us off, me and my wife were DQ 10th July so we’re hoping to get our interview appointment email early November. It appears June DQ dates have been scheduled so hoping this is our time after literally years of waiting. Fingers crossed for no Tier 3 lockdown in London!

Hi, this maybe stupid question, but I still want to post here to make sure I didn't miss it. I was filling i130 form online for my spouse. (I'm petitioner). I was reading from reddit, there is a section to upload "evidence of the end of your spouse's prior marriage(s)", they also include a screenshot (attached below). But by looking at my i130 online form, I didn't find this section. Do I miss anything? or USCIS change the form. Also by go through application, I only see we need upload proof of us citizenship, proof of marriage, 2x2 passport photo, additional proof of marriage, i-130A. Should I also include my spouse birth certificate? if so, where to upload it? it looks like paper form is much easier to deal with since instruction on paper form is clear and you can attach any documents at the end. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi , I have iR1 case . My wife got the visa interview but my kids i130 petition is in processing . I applied for them in May 2023 under 21 child of us citizen. What I can do for this situation? -
My wife has recently gotten her appointment scheduled, her daughter was planning to stay and live with her biological dad for a while and didn't want to leave her friends yet. Anyway things have changed it seems as the biological father's family is jealous or something, but my question is can I apply now for a K-4 for my step-child? My wife is at the interview stage so she is not a K-3 visa, can I still file for my step-child to come now? Using the I-129F? Any info one the best way to handle it at this stage would be great! Hi, my wife and I went through a K1 application before getting married. The K1 went well, but got ultimately delivered as "Canceled Without Prejudice" due to COVID-19 pandemic reasons (or something like that). About 2 years after this **** event and a tough LDR journey, we got married and applied for CR1 (we now live together abroad while it's getting processed). My CR1 is currently at the USCIS stage, but I was wondering if the fact that we applied for a K1 in the past, can it have a negative impact? I don't think so, but we sometimes overthink ahah 😄 Thanks! -
Hello All I thought I would make a Thread for Australian's who have their CASE COMPLETE at NVC and are waiting for an Interview to be scheduled at the US Consulate in Sydney! Hi Apologies if this was already answered. Does anyone have any knowledge or insight in regards to a scenario like below: US petitioner working and living in third country with their spouse. The job is for a U.S company contracted with the US govt. Spouse hasn’t done the interview yet but believe it will be close. If the interview comes up and he gets his visa but we decide to still remain in that third country due to work, will it be an issue? Still keeping the US bank accounts, using mothers residence for mail, keeping life insurance policy, US company health insurance, paying taxes, keeping storage unit of the previous US apartment furniture. Visiting every 6 months-9 months. Saving up for a house to purchase in the US. -
Hi not sure if there’s already a topic here for July 2022 I-130 Filers. My husband got a text notif that USCIS received our forms (CR1) on July 20, still waiting for the letter in the mail though. How long does it usually take to get in the mail? It’s been only a few days but the anxiety is real 😅 -
We had our Interview at the Bogota Embassy today. My wife's visa status was given "Refusal" and was given the 221g Yellow paper stating that they need a certified raised seal divorce decree. I wasn't thinking and had thought I had a copy of the raised seal and didn't think to check if it was the real one, because I had so much on my plate. They kept my wife's passport. Now, I think I am just overthinking this, but I think it is a good thing that they kept it. I am thinking that once they get that final document that they will immediately issue her the CR1 Visa. My big issue is that I am in Colombia and the divorce decree is in the United States. I don't want to have to fly to Nevada to get it, but if I have to, I just might to get the ball rolling. Has anyone been in a similar situation? -

Does anyone know or hear anything about US Embassy Manila picking up the pace on issuing interview appointments? Is it normal to wait 9+ months for an interview at US Embassy Manila? -
Hey guys I have a question. Someone raised concerns about their tax return being filed single on a visa chat forum. I went to Jackson Hewitt every year and told them I'm married to a pakistani and trying to bring him to the States and they filed me as single every year. Is this a problem? I assumed not cause I'm documentarily qualified so the NVC approved my tax returns (tax transcripts I should say) -

Hey everyone, Just filed I-130 and I-130a online and we got a notification of receipt on USCIS that I believe is the NOA 1. Now starts the long wait for NOA2. I hope it's not too long but I know that realistically we're looking at a wait for about a year. Fortunately we're lucky and we've been living together (out of the US) since we've been married, so we won't have to do long distance anymore. It looks like our case was sent to Nebraska which I hear is a fast one? I noticed that there isn't a thread for Nov 2022 filers yet so I figured this one could be it. Stressing out Waiting is more fun when it's done with others who are in the same boat -

Need Advise on Ceac status. My spouse had her interview last week on Tuesday. interview was ok , but the CO didnt find a lot of the documents that were uploaded at NVC stage. at the end wife was given a 221(g) which instructed to upload irrelevant documents like CV, etc all documents were uploaded with in an hour of the interview, later in the day london embassay emailed asking for the documents which were also then sent via email. then on Friday the CEAC status changed to "Refused" , I was under the impression that it will change to Admin Processing? what does refused mean? I saw a similar review for london embassy :https://www.visajourney.com/reviews/view-dos-cis-reviews.php?entry=31055 that person also indicated that CEAC status change to refused and then Admin processing ...... any insight on this would be welcome. -
Hello, I have been searching the forums here but have not seen any timelines for 2023 at the Cairo Embassy for CR-1 Visas. What are the waiting times after DQ looking like in 2023? Does anybody know. From what I have seen in 2022 it’s around 5 months. Has it sped up? If anyone has any information on that please let us know.- 5 replies

Finally got document approval from NVC. I am reviewing info from the embassy. Says an MVC fee will need to be paid. $265 for wife. Don't know for step-child. Does this apply? I know the biometrics fee needs to be paid and don't know how much that is. Wondering when all the fees stop!

Hello, I have my cr1 interview next week at us embassy in lima, peru. I submitted to ceac my three police certificates for peru in August 2023. On the certificates, it says there is a validity of three months. I got new police certificates this month in physical form. Do I need to update these to ceac before the interview? At minimum I will bring the new and old police certificates in physical form to interview? When I talked to my lawyer, they said I didn't need to upload the new police certificates to ceac as the ones from august 2023 are less than two years old. I didn't receive any email from embassy asking for updated police forms, but read on visajourney threads before that they can ask for updated police certificates and if they do they would need a copy uploaded to ceac. I'm sure if they ask then it would result in a 221g and delay processing of visa. Am I over thinking and just go to interview with physical copy of new police certificates? -
My wife has her interview scheduled for September 13, which means her 6 month window to enter the USA will expire a few days before our 2nd anniversary, assuming that 6 month window starts from the interview date. Does anyone know if that’s the case or is there a delay in processing a passport as it typically takes awhile to receive it back after the interview from what I’ve read? It is possible to reschedule the interview with cause, but does anybody know how feasible that option is?
