I was a regular reader of the last London thread to keep myself updated with current timelines etc before it went to 70+ pages and way off topic. I thought it was such a useful resource so I’ve decided to start the ball rolling again so we can keep each other updated on news as it comes in. To kick us off, me and my wife were DQ 10th July so we’re hoping to get our interview appointment email early November. It appears June DQ dates have been scheduled so hoping this is our time after literally years of waiting. Fingers crossed for no Tier 3 lockdown in London!

My wife was recently Documentarily Qualified from the NVC for an IR-1 visa. I don't know how reliable any of the previous info on interview wait times is, given Covid, China's zero Covid policy, shutdowns, etc. Does anyone know how what the wait times are for Guangzhou? 2 months? 3 months? More? My estimates are mostly just guesses. And also, when will we be notified of that date? Is there anywhere to find that out or other resources online for this? I've emailed the GZ consulate, waiting to hear back form them. Thanks in advance!

Just found this thread and it has brought me so much joy. I hate sitting in limbo land being unable to plan my life until I know when I can head back to the States. Before finding this thread I wasn’t sure if it would be a 3 month wait or an 8month wait. EB1 I-140 approved end of June, all fees paid, documents and DS-260 submitted around August 22. Not sure how long DQing takes or if being EB1 affects anything, but I’m hoping that I could get an interview scheduled early next year at the London embassy. Not sure if anyone in a similar boat has some insight… Thank you for this thread!

Hello everyone, hope you’re all well. I just thought to make a thread for people waiting to get an interview in the consulate in Lagos, Nigeria (for all categories), so that we can keep track of how long the backlog currently is. Could everyone who posts please specify when they were DQ’d and when they got their interview, if they’ve got one, please. Thanks so much! I'm F2B, and I got DQ on 19/01/2020

My husband and I submitted all of our documents on October 8th and they were accepted. We still have not received any notice that we are documentarily complete. I’ve reached out to NVC over the phone with no luck speaking to an actual person and I’ve emailed the AskNVC question box several times (also no answer). This seems to be taking way too long. What else can we do to get answers about our case?

I've just had to reschedule my medical. Not the end of the world, but just a pain. Reason was my GP surgery still haven't sent the letter over, and when I've chased it they have the attitude of "we'll get it to you when we get it to you". I looked up the cancellation policy and they need 3 working days notice or they'll charge you £100. Meaning I'd have needed the letter by 3pm today latest, which isn't gonna happen! So I pushed it back a week and a half. Fingers crossed I get it by then and it all goes smoothly. I've not had my interview date yet so shouldn't be a problem, but going by everyone's estimations of interviews etc, I don't want my medical to be any later than mid-late Feb. Also, just an FYI for anyone wanting to know about wait times for the medical - mine was originally for the 7th, I asked to push it back to the week after and asked what dates they have, the lady said "what date would you like?" so there doesn't seem like there's much wait at all, there were multiple appointment times available morning and evening for several dates. Lots of flexibility

I got an email two days ago saying that my case has gotten documentarily qualified and the NVC is now working on scheduling my interview at the embassy. When logging into ceac it says police certificate (Germany) missing. Although my police certificate has been submitted and accepted further down in the same list. I’ve already tried researching and contacting NVC per mail and contact form but I can’t figure out what to do. Could the be worried my police certificate might expire before my interview? It expires February 2023 (it will be two years old by that time) I’ve requested a new police certificate just to be safe so I can end up bringing it to the interview but should I upload it or no?

Hey I just read your post about the French police report. I also have one and only had it sent to me via email. Is this OK? Was your problem not having the original British certificate ? Thanks for your help! And well done 🙂

Hi Everyone, I would like to inquire if it is possible to make a travel outside the Philippines (Tour) while waiting my Interview Schedule. Can this affect my long awaited petition?. I was Documentarily Qualified last 08-Sep-2022, the NVC sent me an email notice last 08-Nov-2022 informing me that they will contact me the next 60 days to inform whether or not there would be an appointed schedule. Also, I did not receive a welcome letter (Hard copy) only email with Subject: Notice of Immigrant Visa Case Creation containing my NVC Case Number and Invoice ID Number. Is this considered as my welcome letter? Will appreciate any advise/suggestions. Thanks in Advance.

For the F4 visa (Bangladesh), I completed the DS-260 last year, this was also documentarily qualified (last year), but I still have not received any word about the interview. My priority date is June '07, so how long does it take for the embassy/NVC to schedule an interview?

Hi everyone! We submitted our documents to NVC in April 2022, meaning that we could not upload the most recent tax transcript from 2021 as it wasn't available yet (we only uploaded the 2020 tax transcript). Should we now upload the 2021 tax transcript to CEAC before my interview next month or is it ok to just take a hard copy of the transcript with me to the interview? Any help/opinions would be appreciated

As at today, March 30, 2022, the JM US embassy is reviewing DQ cases from the NVC and as far as I saw, from June and July 2020 for F Categories. Have you received your interview letter? Interview time frame from IL receipt is 2-6 weeks. Don’t forget to check your spam or junk. Seeing too many instances of people missing interview letters because the email went elsewhere. Lol check under mattress if you must but please check! 😅😂

I was DQ'd early October 2020. I am also in the F-1 category, daughter over 21 of a US Citizen (mom). I'd like to start this thread for those in a similar position waiting for an interview after being DQ'd during the proclamation/suspension in Jamaica. Last April made EIGHT years waiting and I am just beside myself at this point. Any news to share? I also got an email in March from the NVC reminding me that I am DQ's and that they'll keep in touch basically until I get an interview date.

I am an Applicant F21(Colombo) visa category , received 2 DQ emails , one in January 2020 & second in March 2020. I havent recived IL yet from Colombo US embassy. I have met some F21 applicants from Colombo received DQ emails for April ,Octomber 2020 DQ & December 2020 (Normal process) And they were interviewed or received IL . It seems that Colombo US embassy hasnt got much back logs. I noticed there is a glitch or error in NVC system for DQ March 2020. I also met 2 Sri Lankan Petitioners (F21-LPR) who got DQ in March 2020, and they never received IL until updated cases to IR1. They will have their interviews next week. What should I do ? My spouse will get USC in 10 -12 months. Please advise me . Thank you very much.

Did anyone switch their interview to London from another embassy? My wife's visa is currently processing in Mumbai but she lives in London now. Given that interviews seem to be moving faster here, wonder if anyone switched into London

Ladies and gentlemen... A tide is coming in... I'm sure everyone this process is essential to knows by now that as of October 1, 2021, any COVID vaccine recognised by the W.H.O. is a requirement for immigration. October 1 also marks the beginning of a new fiscal year for the DHS. The US embassy in Kingston has also shared on Nationwide News and in the AUSE column of the Jamaica Observer that they have instructed the NVC to begin scheduling appointments in October for cases that have been DQ'd, current and waiting. No word yet on whether or not the embassy will host a FB LIVE consular conversations to, again, drive home more confidence in the process and progress. I am relieved for this next page turning. I've been waiting almost nine years (F11). Now I'm awaiting patiently some sort of news that anyone who's been at the NVC forever has finally received an interview letter. These letters, I believe, are to go out this month. Maybe they have already. I don't know. Has anyone who has been DQ'd and current from March 2020 received an interview letter as yet from categories F11 - F4? And not as a result of an expedited approval, just the normal route? Also, word to the wise, Please go get vaccinated if you are still interested in immigrating. Or if you need an exemption from the requirement, work on it now. You don't want any further delays for your case that could be avoided. -Get all your other shots necessary. -Get latest tax returns from your petitioner. -If you lived in another country for more than six months, at least find out the process to request one so you can act quickly when your time comes. -If you received treatment for any ailment that could make you inadmissible under the INA, request those files from your doc/hospital. the medial physician will need it. And won't send over your medical results to the embassy unless they have it. -Also, inform yourself about what is considered a normal internal body temp to have. Ask what your temperature reading is right after it is taken. AMHUSM has asked people to go tested and refuse to send over medical until a PCR test is done. Feel free to add any other tidbits I haven't mentioned to ensure the process is smooth for all of us waiting. It's time to wrap this up.

Can someone translate this into English. The "train" from DQ to interview is long and tedious, and I want to know if we are on the train for an eventual arrival, or whether there is action needed before we can edge our way into the slowly-moving queue. I realize there will be eventual action needed, and we are making the necessary preparation, but it would be impossible to sign rental agreements, etc. so far in advance. I just want to make sure that we are actually headed to the interview as the case stands, and not on a perpetual delay as streams of other applicants pass us in the queue. Another message: *** might not have a principal residence or be domiciled in the United States. Please submit proof of domicile. I'm the spouse of a USC, I became Documentarily Qualified on August 11, 2020. It's been almost 4 months and I still haven't head anything from the NVC. We tried expediting but they gave us a canned response, not approving it. I have 3 questions: 1.- What is other peoples experiences with this wait time? How long was it for you? Or if you're still waiting, how long have you been waiting so far? 2.- My interview is with the US Consulate in Guayaquil, Ecuador, but in the NVC Expedite denial email, they wrote this: "To be fair to all applicants, the Department of State schedules immigrant visa interviews in the order that the cases complete processing at the NVC."... Does this mean that our case is not "in line" at the embassy, but rather "in line" at the NVC? Which would mean the embassy hasn't even received our case yet? 3.- Can I do anything to speed this up? It's extremely stressful to be stuck in this limbo with my wife away from me. It's obvious the USCIS and NVC don't care about the well being of legal immigrants.

Hi everyone! My father is the joint sponsor for my husband. He applied as a household member (i864a) because i was staying with at my parents place at that time. But i am no longer living with him. My latest w2 will reflect a different address. We are already documentarily qualified. Will this change in my address lead to a delay? Will we be asked for more information and get a new DQ date? And in this case will it push back our interview date? Thanks!! And help would be incredibly appreciated!!
