  1. I was a regular reader of the last London thread to keep myself updated with current timelines etc before it went to 70+ pages and way off topic. I thought it was such a useful resource so I’ve decided to start the ball rolling again so we can keep each other updated on news as it comes in. To kick us off, me and my wife were DQ 10th July so we’re hoping to get our interview appointment email early November. It appears June DQ dates have been scheduled so hoping this is our time after literally years of waiting. Fingers crossed for no Tier 3 lockdown in London!
  2. Can someone translate this into English. The "train" from DQ to interview is long and tedious, and I want to know if we are on the train for an eventual arrival, or whether there is action needed before we can edge our way into the slowly-moving queue. I realize there will be eventual action needed, and we are making the necessary preparation, but it would be impossible to sign rental agreements, etc. so far in advance. I just want to make sure that we are actually headed to the interview as the case stands, and not on a perpetual delay as streams of other applicants pass us in the queue. Another message: *** might not have a principal residence or be domiciled in the United States. Please submit proof of domicile. For more information on domicile requirements, visit https://nvc.state.gov/fin.
  3. Hello, US Embassy Jamaica are processing IR1/CR1 interviews starting with reschedules of interviews cancelled in March/April due to Covid-19. Anyone been rescheduled yet? What about new interviews for DQ's since April? I became DQ on June 17th, no interview date yet. Trying to get an idea of how long interviews are taking to be scheduled.
  4. Hello everyone, hope you’re all well. I just thought to make a thread for people waiting to get an interview in the consulate in Lagos, Nigeria (for all categories), so that we can keep track of how long the backlog currently is. Could everyone who posts please specify when they were DQ’d and when they got their interview, if they’ve got one, please. Thanks so much! I'm F2B, and I got DQ on 19/01/2020
  5. I was DQ'd early October 2020. I am also in the F-1 category, daughter over 21 of a US Citizen (mom). I'd like to start this thread for those in a similar position waiting for an interview after being DQ'd during the proclamation/suspension in Jamaica. Last April made EIGHT years waiting and I am just beside myself at this point. Any news to share? I also got an email in March from the NVC reminding me that I am DQ's and that they'll keep in touch basically until I get an interview date.
  6. I'm the spouse of a USC, I became Documentarily Qualified on August 11, 2020. It's been almost 4 months and I still haven't head anything from the NVC. We tried expediting but they gave us a canned response, not approving it. I have 3 questions: 1.- What is other peoples experiences with this wait time? How long was it for you? Or if you're still waiting, how long have you been waiting so far? 2.- My interview is with the US Consulate in Guayaquil, Ecuador, but in the NVC Expedite denial email, they wrote this: "To be fair to all applicants, the Department of State schedules immigrant visa interviews in the order that the cases complete processing at the NVC."... Does this mean that our case is not "in line" at the embassy, but rather "in line" at the NVC? Which would mean the embassy hasn't even received our case yet? 3.- Can I do anything to speed this up? It's extremely stressful to be stuck in this limbo with my wife away from me. It's obvious the USCIS and NVC don't care about the well being of legal immigrants.
  7. Hi, sorry for not starting a new thread but seeing as most In here are from the UK, can I ask what the process is for travel declaration when travelling to the US after obtaining your visa?
  8. My husband is a US citizen and My process was documentarily qualified on the 18th of May 2019. Since then I’ve been waiting on my interview mail, a while back people from April 2019 were being interviewed. Any idea when I’d finally get my mail? Any day now?
  9. We became DQ yesterday, October 20! Does anyone have any idea how long it should take to have an interview scheduled at the London Embassy? Thanks!!
  10. My husband and I submitted all of our documents on October 8th and they were accepted. We still have not received any notice that we are documentarily complete. I’ve reached out to NVC over the phone with no luck speaking to an actual person and I’ve emailed the AskNVC question box several times (also no answer). This seems to be taking way too long. What else can we do to get answers about our case?
  11. Hi everyone! My father is the joint sponsor for my husband. He applied as a household member (i864a) because i was staying with at my parents place at that time. But i am no longer living with him. My latest w2 will reflect a different address. We are already documentarily qualified. Will this change in my address lead to a delay? Will we be asked for more information and get a new DQ date? And in this case will it push back our interview date? Thanks!! And help would be incredibly appreciated!!
  12. Hey, We were dqed in april 2020; now interview is going to be in dec. Have heard recently from a source that we qualify to bring i864 aos to the interview; but my spouse uploaded i864ez at NVC stage and got successfully dqed ! now i am confused can CO reject i864EZ ? My spouse fulfil all three requirements mentioned on EZ form !! I need to understand why i864 is needed ? And not EZ !! what should we do?
  13. Hello! First of all, kudos to everyone going through the immigration process. It is teeth grinding and requires so much patience. It is a test I hope I pass. I became documentarily qualified on October 2. I am also in the FB1 category. Mom filed for me. Interested in getting updates from applicants like me in Jamaica. Breakdown of my journey: Priority Date March 2013 USCIS Approved December 2019 NVC Received my case February 2020 DQ October 2, 2020 (COVID caused this) Now I'm waiting to see how much longer it will take for an interview. COVID is a real pain in my rear end. UGH
  14. Hello everyone, I've petitioned for nonimmigrant visas for my parents. From August 2019, NVC did not require any additional documents for my mother. The website showed "Accepted" for all documents. However, the "documentarily qualified" message was not received either. During the last six months my father's case constantly asked for more documents which I provided them all and he just received the "documentarily qualified" message saying that he is in the queue for interview appointment. But still nothing on my mother's file. I would appreciate any help or experience on this as I'm desperate and given the COVID-19 situation, no response comes from their side. Thank you, Sanam
  15. Hi! My wife is in the us and she applied for me in September 2017 through California service center. When she applied she had green card. She is now citizen since July 2019. We informed NVC about citizenship and they approved our documents with mail subject "Immigrant Visa Case becoming Documentarily Qualified" in August end 2019. When will I expect interview? If anyone know please reply.
