We received an email from NVC last week that they are transferring our paperwork to the US embassy in Cario The problem is that i have a baby that can’t get an Egyptian passport and the only way to take the baby after my interview is a CRBA and an American passport We called the embassy several times and applied all the needed documents for the CRBA as promised in their website that we should receive a reply within 5 working days but all we received was an auto reply we call the embassy to check how this can work but they also tell us that they’re not processing any CRBA now I’m too concerned if i have to start my paperwork all over again until they start processing CRBA because we’ve been waiting for my paperwork 2 years now and we’ve been through a lot of trouble Is there any legal solution for my situation?

Hello, I have been searching the forums here but have not seen any timelines for 2023 at the Cairo Embassy for CR-1 Visas. What are the waiting times after DQ looking like in 2023? Does anybody know. From what I have seen in 2022 it’s around 5 months. Has it sped up? If anyone has any information on that please let us know.- 4 replies

hey guys my case was Documentarily Qualified at 14 november 2022 and it's been almost 3 months and i'm wondering how long does it take to get scheduled for an interview in cairo embassy ? -
Hello everyone, Our petition for the K-1 Visa has left the NVC and is now with the US embassy in Cairo. I keep checking the application status on the CEAC website and this is what it has looked like for the past month (see attached picture). It indicates that the last update was yesterday (October 28th), however the information does not seem to have changed. I am not sure how to move forward at this point. Should I reach out to the embassy? Or Should I wait for them to send me Packet 3? Also for those who have received a Packet 3 - is it sent through the post as a physical package or is it sent via e-mail? I assume that either way it would be sent to the beneficiary, correct? Thanks!

Hello everybody I received an email from NVC to move on with the next steps for the cr1. How do I do everything for NVC? And is the Embassy in Cairo Egypt doing interviews now?

Ever since my June appointment was cancelled in April they told me to keep checking the site for scheduling another appointment, for the first couple of days I was able to with no problem until I checked it about 3 times one day and started getting this error, now it would be fine if it reset the next day or even after a while but... It's been over A MONTH AND A HALF and I still can't check for appointments, I sent them 5 emails and got 2 automated replies with no info on how to fix it, I even emailed the embassy and the immigrant section and got no reply. I've been trying to get a hold of someone to help me on the phone and it either puts me on hold or says I'm not calling during working hours ( when I am ). Please help we've run out of things to do and we can't get passed this error I've gone over a week without checking and nothing changed.
