Dobrodosli <3
  2. I was a regular reader of the last London thread to keep myself updated with current timelines etc before it went to 70+ pages and way off topic. I thought it was such a useful resource so I’ve decided to start the ball rolling again so we can keep each other updated on news as it comes in. To kick us off, me and my wife were DQ 10th July so we’re hoping to get our interview appointment email early November. It appears June DQ dates have been scheduled so hoping this is our time after literally years of waiting. Fingers crossed for no Tier 3 lockdown in London!
  3. Hello, US Embassy Jamaica are processing IR1/CR1 interviews starting with reschedules of interviews cancelled in March/April due to Covid-19. Anyone been rescheduled yet? What about new interviews for DQ's since April? I became DQ on June 17th, no interview date yet. Trying to get an idea of how long interviews are taking to be scheduled.
  4. Hello All I thought I would make a Thread for Australian's who have their CASE COMPLETE at NVC and are waiting for an Interview to be scheduled at the US Consulate in Sydney! It might make it easy for us to keep in touch and update each other! I hope this is OK 🐨 We were DQ'd this morning so we will be waiting a while lol
  5. Hi everyone, I started this topic to help everyone waiting for her/his physical green card after she/he arrived to the United States So I hope everyone share his OS155A status and post the time between his date of entry, the immigrant fee date, the date you received the physical card in mail. Wish you all the best My status: Poe: Newark May 5 2016 Paid : April 20 2016 USCIS status: payment received on 4/20/2016
  6. Hello everyone, I am wondering if anyone has received an interview appointment at the Abu Dhabi Embassy after recently getting their DQ. it would be great if someone would share their experience.
  7. My wife got her police certificate in Mexico City today, it was quite far south in Tlalpan. She said it was very quick and efficient and that uber drivers are actually required to get this too and there were a bunch there. It's really very simple. If yours did not look like this, please also let me know
  8. Where are the Dominican Republic filers? What stage is everybody at? If you already have your NOA2, is anyone thinking of expediting? Currently I am awaiting NOA2. My NOA 1 date is 7/14. I am getting paperwork together for an expedite but I am not ready to submit yet.
  9. Hello All, I am in the final stages of putting together and submitting my spousal based I-130. I am a US citizen applying for my Pakistani wife. I am just wondering what kind of experiences you guys have had with the process during covid in terms of processing times? How long does it take to get the I-130 approved, how long does it take for the NVC cr1 visa process once the i130 is approved? Especially with covid 19, I am assuming all steps of the process are going to take longer. My brother had done the same process about 5 years back and it only took 12/13 months (Obama administration). Are we seeing any changes now that the Biden administration has stepped in, or is still Trump policies, which I am assuming are more difficult. Any and all help/suggestions/tips would be appreciated as I am newly starting this visa journey, and of course am very anxious/nervous.
  10. Here we go!!! We just filed an I-130 for our CR1 on September 15th 2020...already feeling nervous, excited and impatient 🤩 So curious to find out which USCIS centre our case will go to and when we will receive our NOA1..
  11. Hi! I am CR1, DR Embassy, approved by NVC in August 2020. I know that due to Covid issues, the consular services are not working normally, someone here from Dominican Republic who after having the approval of the NVC received an appointment date without being an emergency?
  12. My husband got approved for expedite CR1 visa in Islamabad Embassy. The case status shows "Ready" since January 12, 2021 and that it is now in Islamabad, but we have not received and interview date yet (been 6 weeks now). Is this normal? We contacted the embassy, they sent a link for us to sign up for an interview appointment, but when we went it said no appointments available. The embassy said they cannot answer any questions over the phone. We are feeling very lost and any guidance would be appreciated.
  13. My Nigerian Spouse just received his visa but no packet or none of his info was returned?! I’m reading he will need to present the sealed packet that should have been given to him when he goes through customs, is this normal for him to not receive this? Will he still be able to come? Help!
  14. Hey!! So me and my fiancee we've been wondering, do we need to see each other after getting married online? We saw each other multiple times before. But in order to file for CR1 do we need to see each other?
  15. Hello! I'm completely new to the form, and the visa journey. My backstory is that I'm trying to help my fiancé come to the US to be married and settle down together in FL. We're currently in an LDR, so we've never met in person within the last two years. Reading along the guidelines of the CR-1 visa - it shows that proof that we have an consistent relationship (for avoiding marriage fraud) is required. Even though we haven't met in person because of the travel ban, he would be staying in the States while waiting for his green card. Beforehand, we're also looking to see if marriage online would be acceptable by their standards. What if we submitted chat logs/receipts of where we sent each other gifts, video calls, recorded calls/sending each other money through Paypal? I'm happy to let them look through our messages on messaging apps we transitioned through from 2016 - present. [TL;DR] I tried contacting USCIS personally for more information about specific requirements, but got an automated system each time. Our main goal is to be married and bring him to the States for settling down. Help is appreciated in advance.
  16. Hi my wife just got approved on her interview but because of section 243 ina she was not issue a visa my question is would this section 243 ina expire on march 31 2021 with the visa ban that trump put in place that is soon to be expired or not any information would help thank you in advance
  17. So basically I moved to South Korea early Feb 2019.. When tax season came along in 2020 I didn't file for my taxes because I was unemployed living with my husband for that year...so I didn't know I had to do my taxes as I didn't make any money in or outside of the US that year. When attaching documents to my I-864 should I just include this as a reason I can't submit my recent tax return?... I do have a joint sponsor (my sister in law) who we will be staying with temporarily when we move back to the US....But I'm worried my reason isn't valid???
  18. My husband is a US citizen and My process was documentarily qualified on the 18th of May 2019. Since then I’ve been waiting on my interview mail, a while back people from April 2019 were being interviewed. Any idea when I’d finally get my mail? Any day now?
  19. Hi everyone My husband and I have been waiting for NVC to schedule an interview. Our case was DQ October 28th 2020. Has anyone gotten an interview yet with similar DQ?
  20. Hi everyone, My name is Mimi. I'm currently in CR1 process and planning to visit my husband while waiting in the process (with B2 visa). Right now I'm gathering evidence to prove to the immigration that I will definitely come back to my home country. Does anyone have a sample of a letter showing on-going responsibility of caring for family members? In my case, I'm responsible for my little siblings who have mental issues (ADHD and depression). I am the one who support them financially and also act as their guardian when I take them to hospital. I plan to show them this letter along with the doctor's letter and other medical records. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.
  21. Did anyone have an interview in Doha for CR1 Visa for Iraqi cases who’s been transferred from US embassy in Baghdad, My wife had an interview request back in November 2020 but she couldn’t attend at that time as Qatar won’t allowed anyone to enter to Doha , I contact the Embassy in Doha and explained her situation and they said we thought she’s local in Doha we will reschedule it for her and let you know when, until now haven’t heard anything. please let me know if anyone has attend an interview in Doha . regards!
  22. US Consulate in Cairo, Egypt updated their visa page to say the below. What I don't understand is: how can they process/prioritize a student visa and not an immediate family (spouse) visas?!
  23. Hi. My partner and I are getting married in April and are looking to start the CR1 process immediately. We've been hovering in this forum, downloading forms, and gathering documents ready to go. One thing we've noticed on the forum is that people rarely send the i130 straight after getting married and we wondered if there was a reason. We've been together for 4 years, living together for 3 of those, so we have no concerns of evidencing the authenticity of our relationship, but it occurred to us that immediate filing of the i130 might be a red flag for the NVC that could delay the process. Any guidance or advice greatly appreciated.
  24. HI, everyone. I am currently working on my wife's CR-1 visa and we are on NVC document submission phase. But we got stuck at the point when she needs to submit a police certificate (Canada), she studied in a program and lived in Canada from late 2017 to mid 2019. She is currently in Hong Kong and I am currently in USA. With the US-Canada border being closed, we have been in working one getting the police certificate for a few times, and unsure why they are all rejected / not accepted by NVC a few days after submitting on each of them. The last one (I have attached a exact same looking one I found from another post.) I submitted meets pretty much every single details, I think to the online guideline they provided. But still got rejected. So I called NVC, explain to them that we applied for the Certified Criminal Record Check from RCMP through a RCMP-approved partner agency (XL-ID Solutions in Montreal) by mailing, and they mailed the certified criminal record check back to my wife in HK, then we submitted it. Still is not being accepted. The NVC person on the phone said that since we are currently not in Canada and can not get into Canada, we can simply delete the attached document and select "Not Available" for the Police Certificate (Canada) section and submit the documents again. But he also mentioned that I still need the actual physical police certificate at the time of the interview, so I am not sure what would be my next step. Looking for helps from anyone!
