Hi My father who's 58 years old, got married about 3 years ago to a woman in Pakistan. She currently is at NVC stage waiting to get Documantirily Qulified. Once that is done it looks like US embassy is very backlogged in Pakistan and it can be up to 2 years before getting interviewed. Now only issue is my father is 58 and also diabetic and lives alone at his residence, I'm locked in my apartment lease and can't move with him because of that. Looking at his age and health condition would there be a way we can expedite the interview if so where do I reach and how long would it take. Thank you. ( I know 58 doesn't sound that old in US but, coming from a Pakistani family and seeing so many of my relatives barely making to 60s feels scary ) -
Hello All please help me out, filling out i130 form online for my spouse and I am stuck at Part 5 Question is "Have you EVER previously filed a petition for this beneficiary or any other alien? Should I Say "YES"? since I applied for my both parents back in 2021 and they are approved. my second question is if I choose here YES then the online application allowing me to put the information for only one parent. means, I only can put the information about my Mother either my father not for the both parents. so what should I do in this situation for better understand my question I uploaded the snapshot s of the screen where i am having a hard time. any help is appreciated. Thank a lot.

Current status: CASE IS READY IN CEAC FOR 2 weeks now nvc- Documentary Qualified I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW LONG IS CURRENTLY THE WAITING TIME TO GET INTERVIEW LETTER FOR THE US EMBASSY IN ISLAMABAD WITH APPROVED EXPEDITED PROCESSING. I received email 2 weeks ago that the embassy will contact me soon. Thanks

Hello all! Hope this finds you all well! I've been having a recurring worry, was hoping I could put it to rest with your guys' help. I'll try to be concise. I'm a US citizen. Went to Pakistan to study 10 years ago. Got married (to ex wife) 8 years ago who came from Canada, but marriage was in Pakistan. Finished university in 2019 and moved back to Nevada 2019. Ex wife and I got a divorce in early 2021 in Nevada (she mailed her paperwork from Canada, everything was uploaded to the Court website as the court was closed due to COVID). Originally I had filed a petition for the ex wife but rescinded it because of the divorce, so she never interviewed. I then got married to my (current) wife Q3 of 2021 in Pakistan. My question is this: since my first marriage was in Pakistan, then my divorce was in US (because I moved back to the states in 2019), then my next marriage was in Pakistan in 2021, will that be an issue? I did do some research on this issue a few years back and came across reciprocation, in that a US divorce is (apparently) valid in Pakistan. But now I'm just wanting to double check that. Any insight would be greatly appreciated please

My fiancé went for his interview on the 11th of October. He received a white 221g slip and on the bottom the CO wrote “sent to USCIS for revocation.” Ceac date was updated on the 13th after his interview and showing Ready still. On US travel docs it’s showing this message “passport is still with embassy” (it’s not with them it’s with my fiancé and I’m not even sure if the website always said that or not). interview: fiancé arrived- woman asked for some documents- she took my 2020 w2 and tax transcripts but not my 2021. She didn’t take my affidavit of support. She didn’t look at our messages or call logs. She didn’t look at our western union or rent receipts. She didn’t look at our itinerary. (This woman was a third party Pakistani National not American citizen) fiancé went to CO window and he only said these things- how did you meet? what does she do for work? how old are you both? (He’s in his 20s I’m in my 30s with a 10 yr age gap) all he said to him was “that’s unusual” about our age gap and then wrote on the white 221g slip “revocation” and said the interview is done with no answer about any evidence we need just that it’s over and slammed the window in our face. Wanted to share this experience in case for others to see or if they had something similar happen and what was the outcome. -
Dear members, my visa interview dated 25th Jan 2022 , i was refused for AP ( IR1 ) i have been in AP since my interview. my medical was expired and now after 9 months embassy send me below email upon inquiring regarding visa. Dear applicant, We have recently reviewed your immigrant visa case. To move ahead and process this case, our office would like you to submit the following documents. Updated medical examination reports from an Embassy-approved physician (These typically expire after 6 months. For more information, see anyone experienced the same & what was the outcome ? your help will be much appreciated. Thanks

My expedite request is approved one month to now on medical bases. But i didn't received IL from US Embassy Islamabad yet even after a month of approval. And main thing is that my case status on website also didn't changed yet. It's still showing "At NVC". What is the reason behind that can anyone knows? And how much time ISL Embassy takes after expedite request approval to send IL. Case Category : CR-1 DQ Date : 7 July 2021

Hello, I resubmitted my parents marriage certificate to NVC before 3 weeks and they still haven’t reviewed it. Does anyone know how much time more will it take to get reviewed. All other documents have been accepted. Also if anyone knows about Pakistan Islamabad embassy that how much time will it take for them to schedule an interview. Thanks in advance.

Hey everyone, I have applied for spouse visa last year in April 2020, case has been documantarily qualified since January 2021. I tired reaching out to NVC and they are saying "I just have to wait for Islamabad embassy to give me interview date". My concern is how long do I have to wait, and how do I contact Islamabad embassy? Is it okay to contact the embassy to expedite the process or at least find out how much longer is it going to take?. Please, help me with suggestions. -
Hello, I have heard that applicants DQ'd in March 2020 are receiving interview dates. Are there any updates regarding the applicants DQ'd in April and May 2020? Any general updates regarding the US Embassy Islamabad that how they are proceeding with the cases. Do they schedule IR1 cases first and CR1 later, or it is based on the DQ'd date? -
Hi, I am in a dilemma. For Pakistan, we have 3 marriage certificates, what is the best way to upload them on CEAC Portal? Is it better to upload Urdu and English together and NADRA registration as a separate document or all in one file? Has anyone been rejected for doing one way or the other? Also, I have a question about uploading other documents such as educational record and ID cards for which there is no defined category.Can I upload it under "others" document without worrying about getting it rejected? -
I had interview on 3 august CO handed me 221g and ask to submit fresh AOS from joint sponsor.i upload all the required documents on Ceac portal on 7 august.it is submitted since then. My question is how long embassy takes to review these documents ?? Can we email and tell them all the documents are submitted in case the don't review it in coming days?? Us embassy islamabad -
we redid our medical like the embassy asked us to and also submitted required documents as requested now how long will the embassy take to review the documents? the medical has already reached them

Hey, my interview is next month. I am little confuse about birth certificate. I have my original Nadra birth certificate but i read on U.S embassy site i need urdu translation, original certificate, certified copies.. its confusing . However, Nadra certificate has both languages urdu n english. Please guide my interview is near. Thank you -
My husband is a US citizen and My process was documentarily qualified on the 18th of May 2019. Since then I’ve been waiting on my interview mail, a while back people from April 2019 were being interviewed. Any idea when I’d finally get my mail? Any day now? -
My husband got approved for expedite CR1 visa in Islamabad Embassy. The case status shows "Ready" since January 12, 2021 and that it is now in Islamabad, but we have not received and interview date yet (been 6 weeks now). Is this normal? We contacted the embassy, they sent a link for us to sign up for an interview appointment, but when we went it said no appointments available. The embassy said they cannot answer any questions over the phone. We are feeling very lost and any guidance would be appreciated.
