I was a regular reader of the last London thread to keep myself updated with current timelines etc before it went to 70+ pages and way off topic. I thought it was such a useful resource so I’ve decided to start the ball rolling again so we can keep each other updated on news as it comes in. To kick us off, me and my wife were DQ 10th July so we’re hoping to get our interview appointment email early November. It appears June DQ dates have been scheduled so hoping this is our time after literally years of waiting. Fingers crossed for no Tier 3 lockdown in London!

Hello, I am an american and brought my husband (on the IR1 visa) and 2 daughters (on the IR2 visa) to the US (from Canada). How long do I need to wait until I can apply for citizenship for my husband and 2 daughters? We entered the country 5-1-2021 and they all have their green cards. Thanks. -
Hello, I apologize if I've ended up in the wrong sub. I would like to know if anyone here has registered for the SLEC(St. Luke's Medical Center Extension Clinic) online appointment. There was a part where it asked who gives the appointment (if I recall correctly). The options were: Embassy Online NVC I am part of the March 25, 2024 Auto Expedite. Many people say that we schedule our appointments on our own via CGI. So, should I choose 'online' instead of 'Embassy'? Also, who schedules the appointment on the CGI website, the Petitioner, or the Beneficiary? Also about the Letter of Intent since im living abroad with my beneficiary, does it needs to be notarized or not? thanks! -
Hi not sure if there’s already a topic here for July 2022 I-130 Filers. My husband got a text notif that USCIS received our forms (CR1) on July 20, still waiting for the letter in the mail though. How long does it usually take to get in the mail? It’s been only a few days but the anxiety is real 😅 -
Hi I am a US citizen and my wife and I have been DQ’d since June 2023. We are awaiting an interview appointment at US Embassy Manila. Does anyone know or hear anything about US Embassy Manila picking up the pace on issuing interview appointments? Is it normal to wait 9+ months for an interview at US Embassy Manila? -
Hey guys I have a question. Someone raised concerns about their tax return being filed single on a visa chat forum. I went to Jackson Hewitt every year and told them I'm married to a pakistani and trying to bring him to the States and they filed me as single every year. Is this a problem? I assumed not cause I'm documentarily qualified so the NVC approved my tax returns (tax transcripts I should say) -
Hello membres! interview was on 24th November 2023 i was requested to send evidence of relationship as a WhatsApp conversations and additional pictures and i-864-i-864a tax and w2 from joint sponsor. on 22th January 2024 us consulate received the missing documents. Date updated twice! on 29th January 2024 case changed from refused to ready. on 30th January 2024 case changed from ready to administrative processing. now it’s been 9days. Any explanation please and how long could be approved?

The DS-260 form was filled and submitted to NVC in March 2022. We got DQd in May 2022. We received our Interview Letter today. Interview is scheduled for March 2024. Should the form DS-260 be updated or the old one would suffice? Does it have an expiration date? -

Hey everyone, Just filed I-130 and I-130a online and we got a notification of receipt on USCIS that I believe is the NOA 1. Now starts the long wait for NOA2. I hope it's not too long but I know that realistically we're looking at a wait for about a year. Fortunately we're lucky and we've been living together (out of the US) since we've been married, so we won't have to do long distance anymore. It looks like our case was sent to Nebraska which I hear is a fast one? I noticed that there isn't a thread for Nov 2022 filers yet so I figured this one could be it. Stressing out Waiting is more fun when it's done with others who are in the same boat -

I (US citizen) applied for an IR1 visa for my wife (non US citizen). She got documentarily qualified over three months ago by NVC. The email said they would work with the US consulate in Lagos to schedule an interview and they would let us know. We still haven't heard anything since then. I've been reading some stuff about a huge backlog at the US consulate in Lagos regarding interviews. I'm considering applying for our case to be rescheduled l expedited. Our kids are US citizens but they are with her. They cannot be here with me in the US as there will be no one to take care of them while I work. My wife is also unable to work in Nigeria as she is by herself and there is no one to look after the kids if she goes to work. Can I apply for an expedited interview on this basis because honestly, we need to be together as a family. I hate being away from my wife and kids and vice versa. I would also like our kids to start preschool here soon and that's impossible without my wife being here. I appreciate your advice. -
Hi all, My wife who has a Pakistani passport is planning on applying for a Turkey visit visa. I was wondering, if my wife has a visa rejection stamp from Turkey, will this cause her case to go into Administrative Processing the after interview, or could any other issue happen? I would imagine a visa rejection stamp from snother country would not look good, but she does already have travel history to other countries. Thank you! -
Ok, I searched for this particular question and could not find it here. I scheduled the medical examination for my spouse and the civil surgeon's office says that they do NOT provide an interpreter. I know this is in violation of The Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Executive Order 13166, and Title II of American for Disabilities Act. Before I call them out on this and create an unfriendly environment pre-visit, I need to ask the group the following: 1. Even if the civil surgeon provides an interpreter, it would be a remote over-the-phone session BUT form I-693 instructions state that the interpreter must sign and date the form. How can a remote interpreter sign the form? I did get two quotes for $260/hour and another for $100/hr. but if they cannot sign the form and USCIS will reject it, why bother? 2. If i were to find an interpreter to come in person, would he/she need to be inside the room? I have read that some doctors check breast, genitals, etc. Sounds a little uncomfortable. 3. Assuming my spouse can't produce vaccination records, which vaccines will she be required to get? I was told TDAP/MMR/VARICELLA/HEP B/FLU/COVID, but want to confirm. 4. How long did you all wait for lab /x ray results before picking up the sealed copy? Thanks so much for your help. -
Need Advise on Ceac status. My spouse had her interview last week on Tuesday. interview was ok , but the CO didnt find a lot of the documents that were uploaded at NVC stage. at the end wife was given a 221(g) which instructed to upload irrelevant documents like CV, etc all documents were uploaded with in an hour of the interview, later in the day london embassay emailed asking for the documents which were also then sent via email. then on Friday the CEAC status changed to "Refused" , I was under the impression that it will change to Admin Processing? what does refused mean? I saw a similar review for london embassy :https://www.visajourney.com/reviews/view-dos-cis-reviews.php?entry=31055 that person also indicated that CEAC status change to refused and then Admin processing ...... any insight on this would be welcome. -
We have a 72 page document in Spanish. The embassy pre-interview checklist says it must be translated to English but doesn't indicate whether it must be professionally done or if we can just translate ourselves. Any idea?

Hello, I sent back my joint sponsor documents with passport to Montreal. They had it on 18th September, also uploaded in CEAC. Last update was 28th September. I'm at the end of the 7th week. We already sent emails. Any advice about what to do if didn't hear back till end of 8th week? Has anybody else here in same situation? -

Hi, Case- I-R1/CR-1 Spousal Visa For those who have experienced or who have knowledge about the CFO/GFP certificate with sticker. Kindly share me your knowledge. Thank you in advance. I'm about to leave the Philippines to USA for the first time in December. Got my visa and stuff. But one thing came up. I don't know how, I just ended up clicking random website from my phone. You know -- was just searching.. "everything I need to do or know before moving to US from the PH for the first" time something like that. Then I saw the CFO/GFP certificate with sticker. If it wasn't because of me searching random things before I leave. I might have booked the ticket to US without knowing I need this certificate. I'm just wondering. If that happens and I'm at the airport already ready to fly. Would they stop me because I don't have that CFO/GFP certificate? Or is there exceptions? Would they still allow me to leave my country or not? Would my ticket be wasted?
