After October 1st it will be a requirement for you to be vaccinated against COVID?

I don't want the vaccine for religious reasons, Surely they can't force me to get vaccinated in order to pass the medical can they? I am worried

Yes, the COVID-19 vaccine will be added to the list of required vaccinations for intending immigrants. As for all vaccinations, you can request a waiver based on moral or religious convictions.

Do you have to get the vaccine before coming here? I already have it and my fiancée wants to but they only have the one available from china in her country. We would much rather get one that is approved by the CDC which is why we have waited to get it.

also does this mean we now have a new 5 week delay since its a shot then a three week wait then a two week wait before you are considered vaccinated.

Yes, the Panel Physician also accepts vaccines listed for EUL by the World Health Organization: https://www.cdc.gov/immigrantrefugeehealth/panel-physicians/covid-19-technical-instructions.html

Don't have to wait after the last dose.

I'd definitely have a plan B in case your waiver is denied.  USC may have to try for a visa for your country.

Genuine question. The OP is applying for K1 visa, which is non immigrant. My understanding is only immigrant visa applicants need to get the COVID vaccine.

So wouldn’t OP’s K1 visa be granted without having taken the vaccine? They can move to US, get married and apply for AOS. They would ofcourse need to get the vaccine later, when doing the medicals for the green card interview.
