I currently live in South Korea. I got the first stimulus check, but I haven't filled my 2019 taxes yet. I'm about to send it today and it will take about 1 and a half months to process.

Will I be qualified to get the second stimulus check?

Is your 2019 income going to be a lot more than 2018, perhaps going over the thresholds?  That is the only way I could see things changing.  Right now, you may get the new stimulus soon, before your 2019 taxes are ready.

taking stimulus can bite them back if USCIS questions the need for financial stimulus  if they are financially self sufficient and possibly disqualify them for green card

100% wrong. The stimulus is not considered welfare, just a tax credit. It's not a means tested benefit and people making up to $100k still qualify for it.

Not true.  The stimulus check is a tax credit, something that eligible taxpayers are entitled to.  It is not a publicly-funded benefit like food stamps that casts doubt on someone's financial capacity.  Stop with the fearmongering.

Thank you for setting the records straight.  Its not even seen as income by IRS , so it is not a taxable income at all.

Well I've read a few random news from my phone and there is a bunch of mixture in the press so I really don't know what exactly to follow up other than the IRS.

Some news says check comes in early as Tonight. Other says 'early' next week or Tuesday. Someone mentioned early January.

Although I'm confused with the whole deal of $600 vs $2000. I'm not that good on following the step to find out what I'll get but it would be nice if someone can help me out on that but I'm not sure what to mention at start.

While on the IRS site it seem to mention the max payment is $2400 per married jointly. ??? Or one mentioning about max payment up to $1200?

-Me and hubby got married last year. He is on my 2019 federal tax return and he is a green card holder
-We make somewhere in between $30k - $50k

-We live with my cousin who is the head of the house.

-No kids.
-We both did got the $1200 stimulus from earlier of this year.

Not sure if we're disqualified for the current/new stimulus check or not.

Let's have a contest.  First one to post a screenshot from their bank, showing the new stimulus, wins!

First prize will be a FREE membership to Visa Journey!  :wow:

I win!  A friend who lives here in the Philippines already has it pending in his U.S. Navy Federal Credit Union bank account.  He says it is scheduled for Dec. 31 midnight U.S. eastern time.  He and his wife are getting $1200.

We will see the change in taxes after this pandemic.

Tax credits are not considered as "public benefits" for the purpose of public charge consideration.

Don’t blame the pandemic for the tax increases you are about to see. Biden already told you he’s going to fleece the high earners to be able to forgive student debt, and give all the “free stuff” to everyone else.
