Consulate Review: Frankfurt, Germany
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : October 30, 2019
Embassy Review : Just like everybody else already said. Super friendly and helpful staff. The interview itself took about five minutes with questions asked like: how did you meet, when did you got engaged, how often did you saw each other since that, has one of you ever been married/ has children...
Rating : Very Good

POE Review: Atlanta
Event Description
Entry Date : 2019-12-16
Embassy Review : Arrived at four in the afternoon so the airport was super crowded. Waited about an hour in line but after I made it everything was nice and easy. Friendly officers and helpful staff. No problems at all.
Harassment Level : Low

Local US CIS Office Review: New Orleans LA
Review Topic: cis_topic
Event Description
Review Date : February 14, 2021
Embassy Review : Everybody was super nice and friendly and the IO tried her best to put me at ease from the very beginning. We only went through the basics of the application and she asked a couple of the yes and no questions. She also asked how we met and where we got married and if I brought anything I want to add to my file. That was it. Maybe 15- 20 minutes and by the end of the day I received the card is being approved message.
Harassment Level : Very Good

I see you are still waiting for packet 3 like me. Does it seem like it's taking forever to you too?
blank avatar BiAdam on 2019-06-05 said:
Yes! We are still waiting, too. Frankfurt says they don't have it, but I called the NVC this morning and they insisted that they can see that it's in Frankfurt's system. Very frustrating!

I expected to get the P3 after a week or so. But it seems like they need longer now. I don't worry since none of us that got shipped to the embassy middle of May received it so far. And they can't forget about all of us right?

This is soooo very frustrating! I'm wondering if I should submit my Visa application right now and wait for them to tell me to schedule my appointment. I did notice that there are about 4 of us waiting still for packet 3 (which I believe is those instructions you can find online)
blank avatar BiAdam on 2019-06-05 said:
We thought about that too, but decided to just wait to receive it. We used the one we found online to completely prepare the documents, though - we plan on sending it in the day we get it. It's especially frustrating since it seems like most consulates now send P3s by email. . . If you haven't already, I'd encourage both of you to email the consulate. We've done it twice. They're quite rude with us, but if we all contact them, they'll probably get the hint that there's a problem.
Thekingandqueen on 2019-06-05 said:
Wait, that's weird...Frankfurt is saying they don't have it but the NVC is showing it in their system? I'm going to email them today and see what they tell me

I called the Visa hotline and they told me thar the consulate would email packet 3 to me. I don't know what's going on
blank avatar BiAdam on 2019-06-05 said:
Correct - Frankfurt has told us twice (the last time being yesterday), explicitly, that they haven't received our application and can't give us status updates. I got suspicious, so called the NVC this morning. The woman at NVC told me we were absolutely "scanned and sent" on May 14, and that Frankfurt received in that same day. She told me she could see that we were in Frankfurt's system. My best guess is that Frankfurt is "too busy" to send out our P3s, so they just say they don't have our applications. I don't know.
blank avatar BiAdam on 2019-06-05 said:
Weird! Frankfurt has a visa hotline? Whenever we try to call, we get an automated message to email them. Can you share the number you called? When did you call?
Thekingandqueen on 2019-06-05 said:
When I checked NVC online status says READY wonder what that means. I'm definitely emailing today.
Thekingandqueen on 2019-06-05 said:
I called that number on their website then on that call there is an option for Visa information press that option and it gives you a number to call. Let me go find the number and post it here
blank avatar BiAdam on 2019-06-05 said:
do you see a last update date on nvc online status? ours is may 28. it was updated a couple of times before that too. i was getting excited each time, but now i don't know if it's related to frankfurt at all. we submitted the ds-160 on may 16 as we thought we would get p3 in a week or so. on monday i called 03222 1093243. i had to listen to the auto-reply many times, and i couldn't talk to anyone. i had sent an email to frankfurt on may 16, and asked if they could send p3 via email, but they said no.

This is the email response I received this morning from Frankfurt: "Since NVC confirmed that the I-129F was forwarded, you will simply have to await the receipt of the packet 3 notification that the application is ready for processing." I wish they would have just said that in the first place instead of repeatedly telling us they didn't have our application. Not a big fan of the Frankfurt consulate.
Thekingandqueen on 2019-06-07 said:
Here is what they emailed me today... Dear Madame/Sir, Please await with the fee payment until the packet 3 is received. The DS-160 may be submitted already. We hope this information was helpful to you. Please do not hesitate to contact us again in case you have further questions. Sincerely,

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
