OP stayed so as to get citizenship under 3 year rule and now wants to marry or bring from his own country/ probably wants to bring the real wife from Senegal. 

Well, if you and the Senegalese lady had kids whom you didn't mention while under your USC petition, kiss that ship goodbye. The will never immigrate under you nor your real wife.

It seems like your decision to divorce your wife is purely a financial decision. You'll be surprised when you find out how much you will have to continue to pay her after divorcing her. And then supporting another immigrant will be very expensive too. If your decisions are only driven by financial reasons, the best thing to do would be to support your wife, help her find a new job when she's ready, and work on your marriage. 

 

But if you already have a new wife lined up, that's a different story of course.

Good point:  anyone who’s been through a divorce, even an amicable one, knows that they are expensive.   It can take years to recoup the losses.

Free Man, another thought:  You say that you just got promoted.  That's great.  However, YOUR job might end suddenly and without notice -- it happens all the time.  In addition, even the best job can turn "toxic" when conditions change.  How would you feel if your wife wanted to divorce YOU because of either circumstance?

Just remember anytime an immigration benefit is obtain through a USC. This is your situation exactly. There will be extra scrutiny.

 

Divorce just four months after naturalizing then petitioning a spouse will raise flags. There has been many thread on here that discuss the 5 yr wait to be able to petition a spouse when you naturalized through a USC. Might want to look into this.

A point I have not seen mentioned:

 

You will be expected to provide for her for quite some time; the exact duration is based on your state.

 

If you divorce now, your house is pretty much gone, and your income is shot for a long while.

 

I recommend counseling and staying together.

 

Go find some Internet forums from recently divorced men who share what happens after the process.

Great point.  Those from his country and similarly high-fraud, high-risk countries would do well to take note.  His actions absolutely impact future immigrants.

Technically yes, you could apply after a divorce, but it will not be approved if USCIS suspects marriage fraud. 

 

There is a small chance if USCIS suspects marriage fraud and can prove it in your old case you could be denaturalized sending you to court to have a judge take your citizenship away. 

 

So, if you knew your potential new spouse back in your home county before your marriage to your current US spouse then your citizenship would be in legal jeopardy due to marriage fraud.
