Consulate Review: Nigeria
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : May 23, 2019
Embassy Review : My interview was scheduled for 7 AM and I got there at 5:50. There was a long line of people outside. They told us (petition based applicants) to form another line and we were taken inside. A Nigerian man called me and took my appointment letter, ds160 confirmation page, photocopy of my birth certificate, my passport, two passport photos and my affidavit of support and supporting documents. we waited three more hours before i was called for the interview proper. A pretty white woman interviewed me. Questions asked were:
1) Who’s calling you?
2)How did you two meet?
3)How did he know the person that introduced you ?
4)How did you(me) know the person that introduced us
5)Does he live in a house or apartment?
6)Does he live alone?
7)Has he ever been married?
8)Have I ever been married?
9)Does he have kids?
10)Do I have kids?
11)where does he work and what’s his job description?
12)How did the relationship progress from when we got introduced?
13)What’s his normal day to day life in America and what does he do when he’s not working?
14)what do you like about him?
15)What music genre does he like listening to? I said rap and she laughed n said oh wow,I’m approving your visa, welcome to America. She gave me two white papers. One was the domestic violence pamphlet and the other was for the passport pickup location.
Rating : Very Good

POE Review: Washington DC
Event Description
Entry Date : 2019-05-20
Embassy Review : We stayed in line for three hours before getting to the immigration stand. When I got there, the lady took my passport, put it in a transparent box and sent me to “secondary”i guess. I stayed another one hour there waiting to be called. The officer called me and gave me a pen and a piece of paper to write my fiancé’s address. I wrote it down and she said welcome to America. I took my suitcase and left to meet bae who had been in the waiting area for six hours waiting for me. Lol.
Harassment Level : Low

Basically who proposed? 11)what genre of music does he like listening to? It was a very good experience. It took 3 minutes cos the questions were asked in a combined format and not like I put it here. 😂

Ennyolah that was for you. As long as your relationship is genuine, you have nothing to worry about. Try to know the ins and outs of your fiancé cos I was asked a question that I didn’t really know the answer to but she approved my visa anyway. She gave me a big smile and said “make sure you get married to Shannon” 😂

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
