I see cases like this all the time on fb pages, it never ends pretty. All the old women wonder why they can’t have their boy with them. It’s disturbing sometimes to see these old men and women marrying someone that is 20 years plus younger. I’m sure In your case your mom must be the same age as her ?? And her kids possibly the same age as you ? Think about it from a CO point of view. Met online , she comes and you marry on first visit, she comes back and petitions. No way will they think it’s real. If this really is love she will move there and spend a lot of time there. Maybe even 2 years and then marry and file. I am only 8 years older than my fiancé and nervous for a k1. In UAE but Pakistani born. I’m divorced with 5 kids but we want one quickly as soon as he’s here. And I can still have babies. I’ve made 12 trips to Dubai since feb 2017 and we just got our NOA2. We spent a lot of time together. And in February he’s taking me home to Pakistan to meet all his family. Video calls don’t cut it. This will all be before the interview but still, I’m nervous. I’m blessed his family accepts me. You have a huge uphill battle like everyone says

any good ideas.

help me in this now u scared me guys i have no idea what to do.

What to do?

honestly

at 19 you are looking to marry / normal in Tunisia

but since your gf does not join our group to get the information she needs to follow thru , it seems she is not as interested in this process as you are

she is the one who has to travel to meet

to travel to marry

to pay the big fees for the visa

to be able to afford the trips

to do all the work (documents) and application for the visa

application fee for CR1 is $535 USD

NVC fees $445

immigrant fee $220

and in  2020 fees are suppose to increase

she needs to know everything about the obsticles she will face and how to overcome the issues

Sweetie, I've been 19 before. I know what it's like. I fell in love with my ex-husband when I was not much older than you and we had SO many red flags that came up before we got married (he infantilized me, made me feel like I couldn't do things without letting a big strong man like him take control, etc) but I dismissed them all because we were In Love and we were just going to "hope for the best" that the issues we had would resolve themselves. "Hoping for the best" isn't a good recipe for a lasting marriage -- it's setting yourself up for divorce. DO THE WORK NOW. Are you in this for forever? Do you plan to stay married? DO THE WORK NOW.

There is an excellent article I read yesterday about the kinds of questions people getting engaged should ask each other before making the leap : https://www.washingtonpost.com/lifestyle/2019/12/24/before-you-get-engaged-ask-your-partner-these-tough-questions/

My fiance and I have been together now for over two years, we live together and have known each other for 14 years, and when we started going through these questions we began learning new things about each other. Try going through some of them together,, answer honestly and see if you are on the same page. The time is NOW to understand if you are ready. Marriage is too important than to just hope it will all work out.

Absolutely!!!!

Excellent post!

Why this for the profile pic?  Often in movies and on TV when they show Hawaii they show this beach/view. So, instead of doing Kauai or some other locale, we decided to do here, so that whenever some show shows Hawaii and this view, we will see where we were married.

LOVE DOES NOT HAVE AGE, SKIN COLOR, RELIGION, OR WHATEVER.... ALL TUNISIAN ARE NOT MUSLIMS, THERE ARE CHRISTIANS AND JEWS EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE VERY MINORITARY.

THEY HAVE THE RIGHT TO GET MARRIED AND GETTING APPROVAL FROM THE GOVERNMENT IS TOTALLY A DECISION DISCRETIONARY TO THE OFFICER WHO WILL HAVE TO CONDUCT THE INTERVIEW.

THE PRESIDENT OF FRANCE IS MARRIED WITH THE MOTHER OF HIS CLASSMATE,

YOU ARE JUST MAKING JUDGMENTS AND THERE ARE VERY SUBJECTIVE.

IT IS NOT BECAUSE THAT DOES NOT WORK FOR X OR Y THAT IT WON'T WORK FOR THEM.

NOW I WILL ADVICE YOU SIR TO ASK YOUR FIANCE TO TRAVEL AGAIN AT LEAST TWO TIMES BEFORE TO FILL OUT THE FORM TO GET K1 VISA.

YOU KNOW BETTER THAN ANYBODY ELSE WHAT IS IN YOUR HEART AND IF YOU ARE SINCERE GOD WILL ASSIST YOU.

It’s reality

Love related to time together vs love over facebook having never actually met are two different things

USCIS does see it the way everyone is telling the OP.

34 year age difference, Woman( US Citizen) is way older.   He is from a country tough it get a visa.   He is barley an adult at 20 years old.  Its most likely his first romance.

This will be a big hurdle for them to cross, and also the IO's  SUPERVISOR must sign off on the approval, most times at time of interview, the decision is made even before the beneficiary steps up to the window for interview.    They need loads more time together, the Petitioner needs to be more financially stable,  then the Mother in Law approval...... that is a family thing .

Best idea I can think of is for her to move to Tunisia to live with you there for a few years before petitioning you to come to the US.

Tunisia is a sunny paradise with nice beaches.

Everyone im from Tunisia and im 19 years old 8 months ago i met a woman from the US she is so nice we r now in love the problem is she is 53 years old i dont have a problem but im afraid that everyone else will do. so is it gonna affect the timeline or we r gonna get rejected .

We dont share the same religion

But you have a good stable job, your own home, and can support her and take care of her in Tunisia so there should be no problem.

Marrying on the first visit is a big, big mistake....and she needs more than a couple visits.......You have been warned!!!   Where is your fiance?   I thought she was going to join us.....You are are either unwise or a scammer if you do not include her here in this thread...

OK.  Great. But there are people out there who take advantage of single American women.   It is very important that both the US citizen and the beneficiary have all the information.  Please tell her it is very important that she joins us here.

Missileman is being realistic with you.

You would have a tough battle even if there wasn’t an age gap, so marrying the first time you meet is so unwise.  It will only lead to suspicions in the eyes of the CO.  Remember, they operate thinking every case is fraud, and the burden is on you to show otherwise, and what you’re proposing to do is NOT going to alleviate any concerns.
