My wife finally got her NOA1 yesterday. I thought it had been lost during address update (we moved while still waiting for it but filed a forwarding address, of course), but it turned out it had been put in the wrong mailbox and our landlord had it!

Hi everyone!

I’m here to share my experience so far and maybe get some advice.

I received my NOA1 on April 15th and I am still  waiting for my biometrics appointment. I called USCIS on May 15th and the L1 officer told me that no appointment has been scheduled for me and to wait until May 29th to call again. According to him, in case I didn’t get the letter, I would be able to schedule the appointment by the phone with an officer.

I waited until the 30th of May and called again. The L1 officer I spoke with said to call back next day because L2 officers were not taking calls.

On May 31st I called again. After explaining to L1 officer my situation, he promptly forwarded my call to L2. They were really busy, so they called me back about 4 hours later.

The L2 officer explained that no appointment has been scheduled for me and they cannot set the first inicial appointment. They can only reschedule a preexisting appointment. The officer then proceed with a service request. Hopefully I will get a response within the next 20 days. We’re getting concerned about this delay.

Is anyone going through a similar situation? Has anyone been through this situation?

Hi, has anyone had their AOS package received by "CHYBA"?. My son AOS package was received by that person three weeks ago, I have my biometrics appointment tomorrow and I was hoping to take him with me same time but they have not even taken the money for his package off our credit card as yet.

@pontof I'm definitely going through the exact same. We are Brooklyn filers with NOA1 date of April 15 and no signs of biometrics anytime soon. L2 said the same, no appointment has been scheduled yet. I honestly don't know why the office is so ridiculously slow! Its depressing:(

That’s awesome news! Did you have to fax over evidence or was it just approved after a couple weeks?
