It means exactly what it says (usually your I-485 status changes to this a little after your biometrics appointment if it's updating at all).

You're now waiting on your local field office for an interview date; everything they can do before your interview for your I-485 is presumably done (though I think people have received RFEs after this point, so that's not a guarantee).

It does not mean that your interview will necessarily be scheduled soon; some people have had their case be 'ready to be scheduled for an interview' for over a year.

One more question what about i765 work permit letter ?? Are they going to send me before my interview schedule or I consider my green card is my work permit

If your i-765 and i-131 are approved before your interview, they'll send you a combo card (or just a card, if you didn't apply for AP).

If your i-485 is approved first, the i-765 and i-131 will be canceled and your green card is your work permit (and it's you're work permit when you get it in any case).

I need assistance!

We filed on the 4th of April, later got to know that my interview appointment was scheduled for May 25th but missed it because I didn't receive appointment notice either by mail or electronically.  I spoke to tier 2 on the 28th of May, she rescheduled me for the  19th of  June. Told me to call via Fax number if 5days before my  new appointment date   and  the second notice of appointment wasn't received in the mail. My question is, why are my not getting even the paper mails from USCIS? Both NOA1 and biometrics didn't come. Ab-initio there was an error in my address made by immigration which was corrected on the 10th of May  in there system after we found out about the error. Don't know what's really going on!

Have you gone to your local post office to inform them you are residing at the address where things are supposed to be mailed to? You don't have a timeline so it's hard to tell when you arrived in the US. Typically, your local post office should be alerted that you are a resident at the address or your name should be added to the box, depending on how your mail delivery works. We went to our local PO and added my wife; we have had no problems receiving mail from USCIS.

After 2 months of marriage the beneficiary and I are calling it.  We can't be together anymore.  Counseling was no help and we are ready to go our separate ways.  With talks of divorce and immigration issues.  She is refusing to return to home Colombia.

Is this the correct forum..or are there any other?

Same here. Biometrics was nearly a month ago and nothing has been updated. Also in CLT field office territory.

and @Nicole567: hi there my fellow Charlotte folks! My case changed to "Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview" within a week after my biometrics but tbh, i wouldn't worry about it too much as mine hasn't changed since then. Not sure how slow our Charlotte field office is either, though.

If you have filed or planning to file this month, please feel free to comment here. Best of luck to everyone!!!
