Event Description

Embassy Review : We had our interview yesterday. We arrived about 10 minutes early, went through security (had to take off shoes and everything) then up an elevator to the second floor where we provided our interview notice to the receptionist and were told to wait for our name to be called. We were called in about 20 minutes later. The officer was very friendly, she said she had reviewed our entire file already and had no questions as to the validity of our relationship. She asked if we had any updated evidence to add, so I gave her new documents including photos. She looked through it quickly and asked who two of the people in one photo were (my mom and husbands mom, so she confirmed our families have met) She went over the information on the I-485, updated our address and work history and then went through the yes/no questions. She asked what date we got married, who handles the finances in our home, why we moved to Virginia. The whole interview was only about 20 minutes long and very laid back. Smooth process over all.
Harassment Level : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
