I'm so worried!

AOS package was sent April 9th to the Chicago office.

Got my receipt number April 16th

Till now no notification for biometrics 😥

Is this normal? I live in Connecticut

pls read my experience on my timeline...

Call them, ask to talk to a tier 2 (tier 1 can't see if a biometrics appointment was scheduled for you), and ask if if there is an appointment scheduled...

They might have entered your address wrong in the system like it happened to me... or the mail man just made a mistake and the letter got returned to USCIS...

Just be careful with what the tier 1 officers say... I've gotten wrong information more than once... in these cases just ask for a tier 2, if they ask why, you just say you want to make sure there isn't something that the tier 2 can see that the tier 1 can't... if they say they have access to the same systems, say you wanna be sure anyways... just insist until they agree to transfer you...

Trust me, because of those things I took 4 months from application to do my biometrics... and now I'm on day 213 and still no combo card or interview scheduled...

We have received the first round of NOAs a little over a week ago and haven't heard anything for the biometrics. I called the USCIS customer service line and of course the L1 agents are so incompetent that makes me want to bang my head against the wall. His response to the fact that we didn't receive the biometrics notice is that "The case takes 20-22 months and it's still within the normal processing times" and no matter how many times I explain that the biometrics don't have anything to do with the processing time of the case, he wouldn't understand. After going back and forth for a few mins and me insisting to be transferred to an officer, he finally agreed and put me through. I am still waiting on the L2 officer to call.

I got paranoid this morning when I read @BrazilianInTexas's experience about not getting an appt for 4 months.
