Yes, I apologized for the misunderstanding earlier in this thread, directly to her.

My fiance was and is not a sperm donor. I mentioned this because he had a friend who married a woman from France in Morocco. As soon as she was pregnant she left and never contacted him again, thus she just wanted this kids. I am not in that situation. I'd have him regardless if i could have kids or not and he feels the same. I have also asked him if I was not in America would he still love me or want to be with me, he agreed it is because he loves me not the fact i am in America. I am also aware of the supporting issues with him sending money home. I told him I will NOT lose anything to or help him send any money to his home for his family. He understood that. I told him I am and will only support him for his life here in America. I will not be sending any money to help his family. He understands that. He also said he will not let me lose anything here and that this was not fair to me. He understands all of this.

I appreciate all the advice however I did ask some individuals for specific information but it was not given.

I will still stand for the fact he has not had a GF in Morocco and even his cousin here in VA told me the same thing. Regardless if they chose to agree to lie to me, I can see the lack of experience when we were together. He has a lot to learn. But I do need his English at a level to where if he was asked what does his family think of me, that he will be able to say more than, they are happy for us.. LOL

How many visits have you both had in person? 1-2?

I didn’t nor would even risk that for the UK. We met 9 times within 2 years, left us broke but we couldn’t cope not seeing each other more than 12-16 weeks apart. They commended us in the UK when I done my interview for meeting regularly. I understand the fiancial restrictions though for those further apart. Regular visits are important, especially for high fraud countries.

Truth be told, I wanted my husband to come to UK to live but he was more established here in US than I ever was and had a far more superior job so I came here instead.

Good luck! The regular travelling my husband had between NOA1 and NOA2 was amazing!! ❤️

@Lottaair (interesting name)-  I have just read through this entire thread.  You have received some great advice from people who have "been there-done that".  I urge you to not take their advice lightly.  We see a LOT of cases very, very similar to your case.......and many end poorly.  I, too, see a lot of red flags which will present  some tall obstacles.....the ONLY cure for the types of red flags I see is..a great deal of time spent together....  that remedy is good for the immigration hurdles you face and it a practical step for 2 people in a long term relationship.......take your time......immigration requires a great deal of time, patience, knowledge, planning......and money...

"The US immigration process requires a great deal of knowledge, planning, time, patience, and a significant amount of money.  It is quite a journey!"

My husband also came from the UK and we had regular visits (visits every 4 months for 2+ years.) we were asked about our visits and our relationship at the AOS interview as well. It’s super important to have a strong bona fide relationship with several visits (especially for high fraud countries). Our CO for AOS grilled us on our relationship and visits but was satisfied with our consistent visits and time we spent together. If OP managed to get a k-1 (highly unlikely) they’d still have to prove to a CO at the AOS interview that their relationship is legit. It’s ultimately gonna be best for OP to wait to file and get more face time in. Also OP needs to forget about the k-1 all together. Tbh this is the best advice for all Morocco applicants (CR1 🙌). Op needs to listen to the advice given and realize that as their case stands now they will get denied for a k-1. Hopefully OP will read this over again without a denial lense.

How long was your last visit? Moroccan culture is very different from culture and lifestyle in the US. It maybe be fine to visit for a few weeks as a fun holiday, but how do you think he will do with the culture difference? My husband lived in Rabat, a rather modern city, and had a somewhat worldly view from his time spent studying at his university. He's been in the US over a year now and the culture difference is still huge for him.

As for his cousin...he came here 5 years ago on a work visa or marriage visa? Times are a lot different know in terms of the speed of the immigration process.

I think it will be a culture shock for him, as well as moving to any country would be for anyone. His cousin got here for work, and found a woman and married her He been here for 5yrs now.

When I visited Morocco it was a huge culture difference and everything looks old to me and soooo many cats, I have NEVER seen that many cats on a street in my life! But I am not used to many many people walking the streets or mopeds all over the place and tiny cars.  But I loved being by the water. And I am also not used to how they eat or what they eat. His family cooked me foods that I would eat, because I was not eating goat nor was I going to eat with my hands, they understood that!

OP,  I strongly suggest listening to the advice here.   It sounds like you love him and sometimes that is very difficult to see things objectively.

Just a thought-  listen to what he says- that he doesn't want to have "relations" with you there because of a foreigner that came over and he feels used his cousin.   So he's essentially saying "I don't trust that you won't do this".

But yet he wants you to trust him, to spend THOUSANDS of dollars (between immigration and traveling) before all of this is said and done.

As someone suggested, suggest moving there and gauge his response.   Is his love unconditional or will you find that conditions depend on his US arrival?

My (now husband) is from Nigeria, a very high fraud country.   We spent 3 years on immigration, thousands of dollars, and two denials.  This is not an easy journey.

In addition to the difficulties, add extra if he's ever been in the embassy before and was denied, especially recently or multiple times.

Lol yes there were cats everywhere. Cats at the courthouse, cats at the police station, cats walking through the restaurants (which I was not a fan of). I enjoyed most of the food except the sheep during Eid Al Adha. I'm not really into couscous that much but I like the vegetables on it.

The only place I've noticed an extra amount of cats so far is Essaouira, granted I have only been to a few cities (but will see more on our next trip!).

Definitely get used to Moroccan food, luckily I find most of it delicious, and am slowly learning how to cook some dishes.. My husband can cook them well though :)

@Lottaair You said you wouldn't eat with your hands, but get used to your fiance eating a lot with his hands. Get used to a soaking wet bathroom floor because he washes himself before praying and doesn't clean up. Get used to bread crumbs because bread is life (at least for my husband lol). Make sure you're aware that if/when you have children, that he is very highly unlikely going to change a single diaper as it is a shame for men to do so. There are so many things that we spent years talking about to make sure we were on the same page before we got married. We were together for 4 years before marriage. How does he plan on sending money back home during the time he is unable to work upon arriving in the USA?

I honestly didnt see him ever making a mess as he's gone to  culinary school, he always cleaned up. I was with him and in his eyesight for two weeks I see how he operates. The floor in that bathroom was always wet ..the toilet which is the shower also isn't far from the sink. And there are kids and adults on that house. He barely wanted to stay there he finds peace and quiet at a nearby cafe.

He is not a messy eater. But some of his aunts are.  I told him I dont even cook..lol he said he will love to prepare meals for us.

Bottom line he knows his traditional ways stop there in Morocco I told him I will not be doing the stuff his mother and aunts do. I made that very clear. Have you ever thought about the fact he isnt happy with his religion and this is a way to be removed from it??

His family will be fine... he knows he cannot and I will be supporting them and him. He made me that promise and that he will make sure I wont ever lose anything I have personally gained upon his arrival here.

Cats:

Cats are walking around everywhere in marrakech and safi.. and rabat. I lost count but I was at 67 cats by day 5. We walked a lot.

If you were driving then you didnt see them.

The prophet Mohammed was a fan of cats. Lots of Muslim-majority countries also have lots of cats... And yes, there are plenty of them in certain areas of Morocco (at least that was the case in my experience).

Not the most ideal reason to marry someone, but I digress....

Seems you have your heart set on this so file the forms as things now stand and take your best shot.

We'll still be here to help you through the CR1 process when the K1 is denied.
