Infidelity on the petitioner side, K1 in progress, relationship has ended

Hi All,

I need advise, so I discovered that my petitioner has not been honest with anything he has ever said. I have been contacted by several people about all sorts of matter about him and it has taken a toll on our relationship we decided to end it. We were in the process of waiting for NOA2, my question is if he does not withdraw the petition and if in the future I am ever petitioned will this affect the future petition?

Be kind in your replies the situation is already hard as it is.

Thanks

Even if he doesn’t withdraw, the petition will die if you don’t do anything. So you’re good. No, it shouldn’t affect future petitions.

Whether he withdraws or not has no effect.  That you had a past petition on your behalf will have an effect: that petition, and if approved, the visa application, will get more scrutiny.

I think I misunderstood the post. OP, are you talking about a future petition that someone else will file for you? Or are you talking about the same person applying for you?

If the former, you even if he doesn’t withdraw, the petition will die by you not doing anything with it. If the latter, yes, you will get more scrutiny

I don't know, I am just asking to know if it ever happens in the future.

It has to be disclosed in the new petition if you were ever petitioned by someone else. So regardless of if this petition is approved/withdrawn/denied, you may be questioned about it at the time.

So you can allow the petition to die by not doing anything. Or if you have the case number, you can send a letter to withdraw .

It shouldn’t have an obvious effect on future petitions, but it might be scrutinized based on the totality of circumstances

I wonder if they keep track of who did initiated the withdrawal of the petition? If they did, it would probably look better for her theoretical future petition if she did the withdrawal and not the petitioner.

The petitioner needs to withdraw the petition. Over the years we have seen many members told that the old petition was never withdrawn and it has caused issues.

I think all of us , man or woman,  have our dream about the ideal mate

could be for love

could be for stability

whatever it is,   sorry that you are going thru a breakup

that's hard on anyone as it squahes your dream of a new life

when u do meet someone that seems to be the right one,  take a long time to get to know the "real him"

no matter what country he lives in,  when u marry, u leave home and family,  so make sure u are happy and the person really cares

and yes,  K1 relationships break up , just be glad this happened before u were stuck in the US with no family and friends to support u emotionally

and yes,  many still find another to do  a K1 as it seems people have an idea of what Americans are like and what life is like here.

TV does not show what it really is / be careful and be wise
