  1. Not just update but ask for the replacement card as well. You'll get it without any DHS notations.
  2. No issues even if you update it after several months or years unless you are applying for something that rely on SSA for your citizenship status.
  3. This is the path that too only if your son's mother allows him to immigrate to the US.
  4. In this case it's better not to provide affidavits at all rather than providing multiples with same content but signed by different people.
  5. You can travel after N400 interview and they won't take your passport. Just don't go for the oath if they provide the same day oath ceremony so they'll schedule it later.
  6. If she mentions that reason of taking care of your wife and baby, she may be denied entry at POE as well, i539 approval is remotely unlikely. However, if she gives the reason of spending some more family time with the new born grandkid for bonding and such, i539 may be approved.
  7. You are worrying for no reason. What if you were returning back today? GC approved, in production or in shipping? You cannot show GC even if approved for it. Or what if the GC gets delivered to your US address in Nov only? That's the reason AP is created and you have it with you. Enjoy the GC approval and enjoy the vacation.
  8. The first page of N400 instructions is more believing than the word of mouth i assume.
  9. You are free to do either way. As long as the signature is not digital, it's all good.
  10. It's still with NVC so contact them. Sometimes they are not good as cspa calc. If you are confident he is protected under cspa, contact NVC and provide cspa age based on the given dates.
  11. Assuming you have maintained the current resident for min of 3 months, you can file N400 now. When you move, just change the address with the uscis. No effect in timeline. If you move first, you have to reside in your new address for 3 months (with paper trail evidence) before you can apply for citizenship.
  12. Where did the divorce happen? In the US with both (your mom and dad) present during the divorce proceedings?
  13. OP is going for CR1/IR1. K3 is just to speed up the CR1/IR1 processing which has allegedly worked for some people.
  14. They both can me mailed together in a big envelope but will be separate packages and go to separate departments and are processed separately so you need to include for both. However if you don't have time to go for another fingerprints at this time, include both FP cards for i751. You may or may not get an RFE for FP cards for N400. Even if you receive the RFE, you won't lose time since N400 cannot be approved before i751 approval anyway. OP is likely overseas where they need to the actual fingerprints on a paper taken from uscis approved site.
  15. Correct. Fyi, if your step son is now an adult and a USC and you don't claim him as dependent on your tax return, you don't need to include him in Part 6 as well.
  16. There is no online filing for i129f. Read the instructions and provide evidences as required for the spouse as K3. Evidences you submitted for i130 won't be linked to i129f. It will need its own evidences including i130 receipt notice. The instruction clearly says filing fee is not required for K3 petition.
  17. Even if the petitioner becomes a USC after the i130 is approved, the category is switched to F1 during NVC phase or even during the visa interview. However one can request NVC to retain the F2B category if the wait time is shorter.
  18. First make sure the i864 is filled out correctly that you aren't listed as sponsor anywhere in the form other than just providing your name and income info on Part 6 Item 8-10 and 22 and that you didn't sign the form. Then include the portions of the instruction you quoted in your response.
  19. Congras. That's all you needed, Sep issue date.
  20. OP may be asked about the marriage based on which the GC was obtained. However there is no way an IO would ask for the original Birth Certificate of the USC spouse who is no longer in OP's life. Handy to bring copies of such though that too only if available.
