See AstoriaAoS' post above. I ended up getting married between 30 and 60 days after my entry during that period and nobody cared and nobody asked or scrutinized. It's not a rule or regulation. There's also a search bar on this site that will produce many threads explaining this.

Clearly you have no concept of immigration.  The Service Center has nothing to do where the petitioner lives regarding an I-130.

Department of State issues visas.  USCIS does not.  One department can not dictate what other department does.  Again you have no concept of US administrative law.

Let's just say for the point of your 30/60/90 day argument that you do enter the US.  When the agent asks you "Why are are visiting the US?" I take it that you have no intention of telling them the truth that your are entering the US to get married and adjust.  You wouldn't tell them that because you know it it illegal.  So you lie and say to visit your friend / finance / whatever.  Then you marry and AOS, (1 day or 180 days later) and USCIS pulls the I-94 and looks at the video of you telling the agent you are just here to visit.  Then you are going to be explaining.  The 90 days doesn't apply to what the USCIS can look at.  You will be disclosing your social media handles at some point.  That includes this site.  And guess what you have already made a pretty clear intentions to not follow the law let alone the advice you have received.  Neither of these options are going to work for.   Your friend can file for a fiance or spousal visa.

And for those that do an adjustment based upon proper intent, their lives aren't very easy.  They cant work or travel internationally for many months, sometime even a year.

@Surrey19 You either don't know what's in your own best interest, or you're just trolling. Either way, you got really good pieces of advice - it's up to you what you do with it.

Check it it used to be 30 day’s and then 60 and now 90 days

This is getting silly. If you prefer your cowboy sites then use them. You are misinformed and outdated with your information. Service centers are no longer allocated based on petitioner residency anymore.

Anyways. I will no longer respond back. All the information you are looking for is on this site if you bothered to look instead or on the appropriate sites. Since you prefer non official sites that seem to work with whatever angle you are aiming for.. good luck with your journey.. you're going to need it.

Came to the country with every intention to return On a tourist visa. Even had a pending i130. Due to covid and extended border closures and the uncertainty of everything we had to file for an AOS. Talked to a lawyer and even she said it makes sense in our case. As 90% of my clothes are still in my country, and I had to cancel my apartment after I came... tons of evidence that I had every intention of going back.

point being that there are some cases you can file AOS from tourist visa!

This is irrelevant for op. Intent is determined upon entry, at the border. As you just mentioned you did not have immigration intent. Op has clearly stated that they have immigration intent, hence this is an entirely different case than yours.

Regional assignment occurred 15 years ago but times have changed.   OPs other information is likely similarly out of date.

YMMV

Ok I thought it was legal as most people do it so CR1 is the solution .is it true it is taking 18 month to process

Most people? Nah, most people go the legal and correct route for their situation. Even if that involves considerable time apart. I’ve been on this forum for many years now (I’m almost at the end of the citizenship process) and I’ve yet to see of a case where anyone has died due to being apart.

Don’t pay attention to other people’s processing times. When I started this journey CR-1s were taking over a year to process. That was back in the days before online form submission. Everything had to go by mail back and forth. So it took generally longer. But my case was completed in 10 months and 1 day from sending the I-130 to having my interview at the embassy. Every case is different. Preparation and organization are the key.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

Now a US citizen!

You really should study the process.  You made several inaccurate statements........

"The US immigration process requires a great deal of knowledge, planning, time, patience, and a significant amount of money.  It is quite a journey!"

*** One post removed for advocating fraud. AOS should only be an option if the beneficiary is already in the US.

Ah, I've missed topics where OP can't stand the truth and gets snippy about it.

CR-1 would really be your best option if you are still residing outside of the United States. You, or your significant other, can travel here on the existing tourist visa, marry, and then return home to start the process. Using the tourist visa to enter the US with intending to stay is considered fraud, so no recommendation on that one.

Overall, lots of people have given you good advice, It's just up to you if you want to do it the legal or less legal way.
