Maybe he should not use twitter to announce his policy decisions. I would much appreciate something more detailed. However, this is all we have to work with.

And those have not been deemed a global pandemic. That in itself shows the severity of this. The Spanish flu was deadly but did not spread like this due to how deadly it was and killed off those it infected. This is different. It infects and spreads far more dangerously in that you could be asymptomatic etc. The global spread and sheer stats of deaths should truly frighten you?? But no, since it has yet to affect you personally you will shrug your shoulders and say, death happens. Don't normalise this. It's really not.

Test like south korea, where you can go to driveway whoever wants.

Medicare for all.

Masks and social distancing from day 1 not when 1000 are dead already, learn from other countries where it spread already.

Dont make fun of people who wants to take it seriously by saying it is not even close to flue.

Tell the truth if you are a leader.

Learn from countries that did best.

Yes, I am thinking that too. I have applied for immigration as an abused spouse and I have recently done my bio metrics appointment right before the corona virus pandemic. The next step I am waiting for is receiving my work permit. Do you think they are still processing marriage based work permits? I really hope so!

The comparison with "the flu" has been debunked countless times by medical experts. BUT, certain politicians and media pundits on the right continuing regurgitating the same erroneous information.

 

COVID19 (versus the flu):

- no vaccine

- more infectious

- higher fatality rate

- more serious after effects (medically)

- more serious societal impacts (given the need for social distancing to prevent outbreaks)

- many younger, previously healthy people have DIED

 

A global outbreak of an infectious disease is not a "pandemic" - it's a PANDEMIC. 

 

Motives for denying these facts? Politics.

I would interpret it exactly how it is written,” temperory suspension” but the way people have been commenting here is exaggeration without knowing all the details.

I highly doubt that they would be able to pause currently processing status adjustments etc for people who are legally here.

Death does happen, even when we don't want it to. This is not the walking dead, I'm not hiding in my house waiting on CNN to give me the all clear. So if you are so fearful, you are for the temporary halting of immigration, right?

Just because you fear something doesn't mean I should fear it too.

I am resolute in my thinking. I also have looked at the numbers from the CDC for previous years. That is not ignorance. Watching CNN and cowering in the corner is not an informed decision either. When this is in the rear view mirror and the actual numbers are in we can all speak with assurance. Now the projections have been wrong for America.

Actually, with the antibody testing being done in CA and other places, the mortality rate number is looking more and more like the seasonal flu.  Regardless, Covid19 is not the seasonal flu as a disease,  but to the extent that it is more deadly is still an unanswered question.  In the meantime, millions are being put out of work, and it is not all retail workers, which appears to be the impetuous behind this potential EO.  There comes a time when the cure becomes worse than the disease.
