My fiance called them after new year holiday but they couldn't give us any information. They said if it's not over 7 months then it's still normal and nothing wrong with it. Then I saw some cases updated on the group about USA visa in my country, their cases get approved already and they're Aug filers (I saw lately get approves- NOA1 Aug 24 and NOA2 Jan 19). So I told him to call USCIS again but couldn't reach to human, we hear nothing from them still..

Everyone's case is different. You have different names. Your name could match someone else in the data base and USCIS would need to do further investigating. There is a whole host of reasons. Here is an article from the FBI in what they do.

I'm just curious, if we call the USCIS customer service and ask about our file. Are they willing to give us answers if we are still under their processing time table? Have anyone tried?

1-good luck getting through to them

2-not really. they will just tell you that it is still being processed

3-they generally can't give a whole lot of information if it is still being reviewed

fwiw, i managed to get through, but not with the 1222 method, i followed the prompts to set up an infopass appt, and managd to get through to someone who was actually able to help me with my question. all calls are re noted as well, as in they put a note on your case that you called and what you called about

RoC sent 10/30/21

NOA 11/16/21

Check Cashed 11/18/21

Biometrics Waived 01/19/2022

Just so you know: we waited 207 days before we were approved (no additional requests for evidence).  Sometimes, it just works that way.

Hopefully its the same for me. Maybe coincidence but Spokane is my hometown :)

Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline or your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine your Embassy. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Received the NOA 2 approval hardcopy on 14th December.

NOA 1: 09 Jul 2018

NOA 2: 12 Dec 2018

Consulate: Qatar

The USCIS has forwarded the approved petition to NVC.

Does anyone know the K1 Visa process at US embassy in Qatar?

Have you gotten a P3 from Qatar or any idea how to prepare for the interview with what requirements? I was looking for a copy and thought maybe if you had one you would share it with me.

I have been tracking DHL delivery. It doesn't say delivered but our case changed from "In Transit" to "Ready" on ceac website today afternoon. So not sure if the embassy received the hardcopy of our petition. I will email or call the embassy to check if they have received our petition and enquire about the P3 letter. I have completed the DS-160 form but haven't submitted it. Probably I will submit it once I am done with medical cause it has a question asking if I have evidence of all the vaccination as per US requirements. I will definitely share the P3 once I receive it but I feel u shud also check with other K1 applicants who are due for their interview at the US embassy in Qatar. :)

When it states "Ready" then the embassy has your case and they are waiting on you. Currently, you are the only one from Qatar that I know. I felt that we could help EACH other out with what is needed.

@Greenbaum I read before that when NVC sends the courier with DHL the electronic file is sent too to the embassy. Once the electronic file is received by the embassy the status changes to "ready" and the date under that keeps changing too. On DHL tracking our courier was delivered to the embassy in Qatar today morning but on ceac website it changed to "Ready" yesterday after 6 days from the day it was couriered. So do u think this "Ready" is the final ready status or shud I wait for them to contact us.

Also, does the embassy send the P3 email to the petitioner or to the beneficiary?

I think this is the final ready.

Everything after NVC is where the beneficiary becomes the "contact" and the petitioner takes the "back seat" position.
