Comments : she said that they asked a lot of questions, mostly due to meeting through an agency, they were pretty fast and the whole thing lasted about 30 minutes. she said customs was even easier, probably because she had her bags wrapped with something like shrink wrao so they wouldnt come undone and they had a good laugh about that

people were very kind and helpful guiding her to the other terminal and helping her find the airtrain

connecting flight was delayed an hour due to heavy thunderstorms, but she really wants to go back to visit New York, so all in all positive experience

Comments : we got there a bit early and ended up waiting about 45 minutes since it was so busy. The interview itself lasted about 10 minutes. I suspect we got a very experienced agent, she just asked me -So you met online and met once? She then asked how long I was in Ukraine, then asked for documents, I gave our lease, internet bill, release of information forms for insurance, , copies of insurance cards, ticket stubs for some concerts and movies we went to together, and then She asked my wife the Have you ever questions, she paraphrased some of them to make it shorter. She then said ok you are approved and went over the ROC stuff and gave us a paper saying Congratulations on your new permanent resident status.

Consulate Review: Ukraine
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description

Embassy Review : this is all told to me from my fiancee....
she left her things in her room because she had to stay the night on the previous day because she had to get her police certificate from the Moldovan embassy, and she also scouted the embassy location and chatted with some of the guards

She said the consular officers (she ended up speaking with 2 of them) were polite and professional, the first one asked her questions she was not expecting about her daughter's father and about our sex life, which I suppose is ok because I had only been able to go to Ukraine once. She was then directed to speak with another consular officer who let her speak less formally and let her just speak about us, and she said he started smiling when she was talking about how she met my mom on videochat a few times and my dog. After this conversation, she said it was a very easy approval. She had nothing bad to say about anyone in the embassy, they were all very nice to her and very helpful even though she was very nervous.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
