  2. Hey everyone! Any July 2018 filers around? We sent ours on July 5th, waiting for NOA1 Good like and happy waiting!
  3. Hi there! I've noticed that no one opened a discussion for July 2018 AOS filers, so I decided to do it. Since we're all going to be anxious, why not share and experience the anxiety with the online community? HA! Let me start by sharing a few things about me. I'm a veterinarian in my home country and my husband is a physician. One day my "then-fiance-now-husband" surprised me with a visit to the county office to get a marriage license! After a week we got married by a retired judge, it was a very simple and sweet ceremony and I've never been happier in my life. I'm currently a homemaker/housewife and I spend some time volunteering at the local animal shelter when I'm not busy studying for my USA vet boards. I do reccomend finding something to during the wait, it will definitely help with the anxiety. Good luck to everyone!
  4. Hi, I created this post to keep in touch all of us who filed as applicants from F2A category. Specially the ones of us that filed with Pending 1-130, so we can keep in touch. My timeline: I-130 filed on Dec 19th, 2016 I-130 still pending as of time of filing. AOS package sent March 1st, 2018 AOS package arrived Chicago Lockbox on March 4 (Sunday) Bank notified us about a check transaction on March 14 at 5.48 a.m. E-Notifications received via email and via sms on March 14 at 11.48 p.m. Waiting for physical Notice of Action. Now it's time to wait.
  5. Hello my fellow May filers. I know a lot of us just got approved, so I decided we can track our NVC process here. NVC usually assigns your case to an agent after 4 - 6 weeks. After that, you have to pay your fees and submit your beneficiary documents. They will then schedule an interview after checking the documents for accuracy. I’ve read from another forum, that this proces is taking about 2 - 3 months.

  7. Hello, I wanted to start a new thread for those of us who just sent in our i60a Wavier packet in 2018. I just received our receipt notice today 3/1 and our case is in the Nebraska Service Center. I have read on other threads that this is something new for 2018? I wish everyone luck and hopefully we can move on to the next part quickly!!!😉😀 Wavier received 2/12/18 Receipt received 3/6/18
  8. My DACA expired October 2018 and a lawyer is telling me that I am able to renew it. He wants $1500 and the $495 for the application fee. My husband and I dont want to lose that money and we've been reading online that it is not possible to renew your DACA after it expired.
  9. Hello! Who else is a fellow May filer? May this journey be easy and speedy for us all!

  11. Hey. I saw there was a similar thread for 2016 and 2017 but I couldn't find one for 2018. Would you be interested in following the progress of other New York filers? I thought we could discuss our timelines, interview experiences with the local offices, and keep track of when EADs will start coming in. Anyone interested? @NYLondon @Michelle M @Penny&Lee @blenheim @Filip and Alix @AndreaPerkins Please tag any other NY filers you may know.
  12. I guess I'll start an April thread since my package should be delivered today by 8 pm. Hurry up and wait...
  13. It being late October, and no October filers for 2018 found on the site, so I started this one. I am a USC living in Brazil and petitioning for my Brazilian wife of 30 years. It's complicated, but the basics are that I am are applying for a resident visa for my wife for the second time, the first being granted in 1989 after our marriage in Texas in 1988. We lost the visa in 2014 in part because of my ignorance of immigration rules and because of family medical situations in Brazil that prevented my wife from traveling. In 1989 the procedure was very simple. Today it's become 10x more complicated due to 9/11. Since we both live outside the USA we are using a state-side lawyer to be sure all paperwork is as correct as possible. Turns out I would have submitted my I-130 in March, but due to using a lawyer, it was only submitted in October. I hope that at least it goes through without a hitch. On one hand she already has a SSN and it was necessary to include her old Resident Visa ID# on the application. Don't know if this will delay or speed up the process. Based on Oct 2017 filers, we might be looking at a long year ahead of us. 10/05/2018 I-130 sent 10/08/2018 I-130 received Chicago Lockbox
  14. Hi everybody, As I haven't seen a NOA2 forum for June, I started one. If there is already one, please let me know. Let's this crazy journey continue
  15. Hi y'all Since my first September application was rejected, I just filed another one, so I guess I'm a November filer now! I didn't see a topic about it yet so I figured out I was gonna create it! Welcome to the November filers and all the previous filers as well
  16. Hi Everyone, I searched for a N-400 November filers forum and I couldn't find one, so I made this one.
  17. Hi all, i just mailed my waiver today. I did not find any threads for I-601A November filings, if there’s anything out there let me know otherwise please post here. Best of luck
  18. Hello November Bros and sis!!! I thought I'd start the new Novmeber 2018 129f thread. Best of luck to all new filers Currently it takes at least 6.5 months to receive the NOA2 for I-129F. One of the useful tools that the US petitioner should sign up for is the USPS Informed Delivery: https://informeddelivery.usps.com/box/pages/intro/start.action. Update your VJ timeline so that others could answer your queries more appropriately. New site:https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/ Once you have your WAC you can create an account in the webpage! Old site: https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do Good luck and welcome to your new virtual Family! Feel free to ask !
  19. Hello all, I'm hoping someone will be able to offer some advice, I've see a few posts on various forums about this particular matter but have yet to see an answer or definitive outcome to this situation. Some context about my case - For nearly two years I have been working on my O1 visa case with my lawyers; Kate Raynor & Associates. I have two job offers in Los Angeles waiting for me as a musician; one to join a band and the other to be an on call session guitarist to one of LA's top song writer/producers. We submitted my case with USCIS in June 2017 to which I was asked for more evidence. I was annoyed but did as requested and gathered more evidence then re-submitted at the end of October 2017. I then received a positive outcome mid December 2017 stating my O1 visa had been approved. I booked an appointment for my interview and to send off my passport to get stamped at the US embassy in London on January 3rd 2018. The interview didn't go as expected as I was told they would need to review my case further, the next day I received an email from the embassy with a 'notification of revocation'. The decision will now go back to USCIS who will either agree with the London embassy's recommendation to revoke my visa, or they might still think I deserve the O1 (I would think they would side with the embassy though). The average response time from USCIS seems to be about 6-12 months, possibly longer. As anyone can understand this is pretty ridiculous as no job offer will realistically wait indefinitely for an answer, even if it is positive, especially in the music industry. I have been given no specific reason as to why they are trying to revoke my visa other than one short line in the email saying 'The request for revocation is based on further administrative review of the applicant’s qualifications conducted subsequent to your visa interview at Embassy London.' This seems incredibly unreasonable as the interview only lasted about 5 minutes, I was asked about 5--10 questions which were somewhat vague, so I was unable to talk about 90% of the evidence that granted me the initial approval. It also appeared the consular officer who interviewed me had no previous knowledge of my case, so was basing the entirety of his decision on my answers in that moment. Does anyone have any knowledge/experience on how to resolve this matter quickly, ideally with the visa ultimately being approved? (as it has been approved in principal in the US). This decision will have massive long term ramifications on my life as, from now on, if I travel to any other country and they ask if I have ever been denied a visa, I will have to say yes and explain why. This will obviously count against me and will potentially impact my ability to work as, being a musician, I'm often required to travel all over the world for gigs. So the embassy's decision to refuse a visa to work in the US will now risk my ability to work anywhere else. It will also affect the band and producer who have offered me jobs as they will now have to start looking for other guitarists to fill my spot until this matter can be resolved, which again will affect their ability to work and progress. Thanks for reading, I can give more info if needed, I didn't want to post too much straight away as that'll probably scare people off! Jake
  20. Question to those who have recently submitted successful I-485 / AOS after entering the US on a K1 visa and who are ALSO submitted their I-131 and I-765 with their I-485 submission. I just want to clarify whether or not we have to pay filling fees for the I-131 (travel document/advanced parole) and I-765 (employment authorization) if we are submitting them with our I-485 submission. The way I read the instructions attached to the I-131 and I-765 forms is that we do not have to pay the I-131 and I-765 based on the below. Can someone please confirm?? Thank you!! I-131: "If you filed Form I-485 on or after July 30, 2007, and you paid the Form I-485 application fee required, then no fee is required to file a request for an Advanced Parole Document or Refugee Travel Document on Form I-131 if your Form I-485 is still pending, if: 1. You now hold U.S. refugee or asylee status....) 2. You are applying for an Advanced Parole Document to allow you to return to the United States after temporary foreign travel. I-765: "If you filed Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, as of July 30, 2007, and you paid for the Form I-485 filing fee, no fee is required to also file a request for employment authorization on Form I-765"
  21. As I was looking for an oath schedule for the Philadelphia FO I came across an unofficial Facebook page regarding their oath ceremony, where people do a "Facebook check-in" the day of their oath at U.S. Citizenship and Immigration. I reviewed the 2018 check-ins and it seems that Philly's Oath ceremonies take place on Mondays and occasionally Fridays. For the month of April there was an oath ceremony every single Monday and once on Friday. I'm not sure if anyone has an official schedule but I just thought I might share what I found so far. IF they are doing it as often as everyone was checking in then it looks like the Philadelphia FO is moving at a good pace.
  22. Hello everyone, My case is CR1, from Pakistan, my interview was on 6th August 2018, while it went good though and kept my passport but gave me 221g to submit my wife's and sponsors tax returns as they didn't get it, however it was already submitted and approved by NVC. However as is it was written on 221g only to upload on CEAC, so i did the same, but also sent through AEG. Now my CEAC status shows Administrative processing and last case update: 7th Sep 2018. its been a month , can anyone suggest how much more i have to wait? and how can i know if i submitted correct documents or not ? Regards, Ovais
  23. I just received my CC date (10.10.18). Trying to get an idea as to when we will be notified as to our interview dates.
  24. Hi All, My son and I have been approved by the NVC for our IR1 Visa’s since the middle of June 2018. Now we are awaiting our interview date at the Montreal Consulate. Anyone know how long it currently takes to receive an interview date in Montreal, Canada? Thank you in advance for your knowledge and insight
