Ayrton got a reaction from ajefferism in Biometric Appointment Philadelphia PA
Nothing major. She will get in, take a picture, get fingerprints scanned, sign and leave.
Marriage certificate is only necessary if she changed her name.

Ayrton got a reaction from Justkeepswimming in Work is going to terminate me as my green card has expired, I am removing conditions
But it is illegal. It's right on the I-9 form. Also if your card is about to expire and you get a new job, they can't say they won't hire you because your card is expiring. That's why they allow you to use just an unrestricted SSC and a regular driver's licenses instead of the green card.
Remember that LPR status doesn't end with card expiration.

Ayrton got a reaction from Dutchster in time for AOS packet acceptance/green card provided (2020)
Don't want to be rude, but not everyone has the time to go through your profile to check your field office. And some states have more than one field office, so when you say you are in Indiana, I have no idea if your state has more than one, or if your zip code is being served by another office in another state, which can happen.
So next time you want more accurate answer, put everything on your post.
The forum has a tool to search for timelines specific from a field office. Do that to find more from your local field office.
Btw, fill out your timeline.

Ayrton got a reaction from Juls801 in December 2019 - AOS Filers
There shouldn't be mixed advices. The Instructions are pretty clear. If you filed for AOS within 1 year of the medical, and your medical and vaccination sheet was completed, you don't need a new one. You should print the instructions and take it to the interview in case they ask for a new medical.

Ayrton got a reaction from Mike E in I filed 2019, 2018 as single but I was married in 2017
You don't need an ITIN to file as married. There are two options. Married Filing Separately and Married filing jointly. You only need ITIN/SSN for the second option.

Ayrton got a reaction from Orangesapples in A few questions for those who recently had their interview
I was talking about the day of the marriage itself.
OP didn't have a reception and it was worried about it. There's no requirement to have parties, and that's what I meant.

Ayrton got a reaction from igoyougoduke in Case ready to be scheduled for interview since 2020 March?!?! should i renew my EAD card?
That's far from being an issue. I was at ready to schedule for almost 1 year. And yes. You should renew your combo card. Interview scheduled is not guarantee that you will be approved right away.

They are adjusting from K1, and had their medical done abroad. K1 medical is valid forever as long as they filed for AOS within 1 year of the date of the medical and vaccination sheet is marked completed.
2 years is for medicals done inside the US.

Don't overthink.
The receipt is often called NOA 1. The approval letter is often called NOA 2.
You need to send NOA 1 from AOS to prove that you paid it.
And yes. Approval letters come on the fancier paper.

Ayrton got a reaction from Visitor User in Is there a deadline to update my SSC?
Yes. All documents submitted to the SSA, even by mail, must be originals. I just had to submit my original EAD card to get my name changed on my SSC.

Ayrton got a reaction from Visitor User in Is there a deadline to update my SSC?
That's a question only your local SS office is able to answer. Call them and ask how they're handling. They will most likely tell you to mail your green card and the form to get a new card without the wording on top.

That's not for biometrics appointment. It's for infopass appointment at international offices and at local field offices (when they were available to schedule online).

Ayrton got a reaction from Lemonslice in How to open bank account -- Wife has SSN but no card.
I've seen other people commenting that USAA, Navy Federal have been asking people to fill out this form. If you read the form, the first thing on it says that if you're a US Person (resident alien) you should not fill out that form.
These banks are probably not familiar with immigrants. You shouldn't have filled out the form. If you signed it, you're basically saying you're not a resident alien and you're still leaving abroad. But if you file taxes as a resident alien, and then IRS audit you, they will see two different things and it can have tax consequences.

Ayrton got a reaction from Fr8dog in Applying for drivers license during AOS processing in CA
Actually, pending AOS is enough, even though most states will deny it.
SSN is also not required, if not eligible for one.
