Hey. I saw there was a similar thread for 2017 and 2018 but I couldn't find one for 2019. Would you be interested in following the progress of other New York filers? I thought we could discuss our timelines, interview experiences with the local offices, and keep track of when EADs will start coming in. Anyone interested?

We filed in November 2019. Had our biometrics appt in December and received our RFE today.

We may be on the same timeline since I’ve read your clock for processing starts over when you have a RFIE like we did.

I did a walk-in at the biometrics a week earlier and they took us no problem. They said it was good we came since the place was empty.

Just drove there and they said great time to come in since they are not busy. No issues at all. Just brought the letter.

I am yet to get the letter for a biometric appointment. Will I be allowed for a walk in.

No. You need the letter.

RFIE response has been received and they are working on my case again.

Processed at National Benefit Center

 

My timeline - 

08/07/2019 - filed I130,485, EAD and AP

08/13/2019 - NOA

09/04/2019 - biometrics done

10/02/2019 - I485 status changed to “case is ready to be scheduled for an interview” 

12/10/2019 - EAD and AP Approved

12/17/2019 - combo card received

 

Still waiting for interview to be scheduled. From what I heard, it can take NYC field office from 6 -12 months to schedule :<

I heard it was more like 12-18 months so we’d happily take 6-12 months.
