Hello,

Yesterday, I made 2 bonehead mistakes. After painstakingly going through the checklist and gathering all the necessary documentsI sent the package out to now realize that I didnt include the check!!!! I also forgot to include the G-1145 to be updated. I need a little advice, do I redo the entire package and sent it out again or will I be notified that I am an idiot but be given the chance to send the payment? Is this an automatic RFE? I am completely unfamiliar with this other than what I have read on here and information I have been able to gather on the internet but I cannot find a direct answer on how to proceed. If ANYONE can provide some insight we would greatly appreciate it.

I fedex'd the package to the lockbox in Texas yesterday if that matters.

Thanks in advance

If you didn’t include payment, USCIS should simply send it right back to you.

USCIS will label the whole package with some stickers and send back to you with a piece of paper which says incorrect/no payment. You won’t need to redo the paperwork, just include the check and the form needed and also anything else that came to your mind which you did not include in the initial filing. When all is done, resend the package to USCIS and let the wait for noa1 begin, good luck.

Thank you for the reply, I was hoping that is the case. My only concern is that I sent it by fed ex and hopefully it wont take too long to get back.

Why did you send original documents?

Thank god you didn’t send a check.  God was looking out for you.  You will get your original documents back.  Lock those documents up.

Don’t send original documents again.

From now on,  you must make an entire copy of each and every packet you send to USCIS/DOS etc.

I sent payment in with the credit card authorization and they somehow missed it and sent back asking for payment.  I simply re-sent it.  Some processing had taken place, and it will be re-arranged.  Leave it as is.  It will also have a sheet to keep on top so it will go back th be processed where they left off.

Glad you’re getting your originals back-you will show those at the interview.
