Hello!
I am the USC and my husband is a Danish citizen, we got married in December and he returned to Denmark mid-January. We sent in our package on February 8, delivered on February 14 (3 days later than it was supposed to, they ping-pong-balled it back and forth between two post centers in the same city! Thanks USPS...), and NOA1 through text on February 21, assigned to Nebraska. Hoping it isn't going to be as slow as I keep hearing about and as my timeline estimation shows!! But even if it does lets all hope the NVC and embassy stages are quick to make up for it!

Our CR1 Journey:

Just received our NOA1 in the mail. Can someone explain to me what the priority date is all about?

It dosen't mean anything, all it means is that the date your case started to process, or thats the date they input your case in the system.

Hi all,

Me and my husband just recently send the I130(a) on February 14th, delivered on Feb 19th. No notification received so far.

We are both living in the Netherlands and working for an international company and we have the ability to transfer with the company as soon as we leave. Maybe we don't need a sponsor than after all.

Does anyone knows how that works or the possibilities?

Oct 7th 2019: Delivered

Oct: 11th 2019: Received NOA1

So my case got a SLUD or a Soft Lud which means Soft Last Updated. It got touched on 2/26/2019

Anyone else get their touched? I know it doesn't mean anything but I am curious I wish they would be able to track that in the timeline in some sort of advanced detail.

Hi,

If your company transfers the US citizen, you can file an i-130 petition directly at the embassy/consulate in the Netherlands and it's much quicker, it's called direct consular filling. You need an official letter from your company stating the date the US citizen is to take on his position in the US. Then you can contact the embassy/consulate and request for direct consular filling. They need a few days to get approval from the local USCIS field office to process your petition but it should be no problem.

For our story, look at my profile.

By checking your case on the egov account and looking where it says "last updated"; it doesn't mean anything really anyways, just that it was touched, but it's 100% no indication of any sort of actual looking at it or NOA2.

https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/displayLogon.do  Check your case here, and you'll see when it was 'Last Updated Date'  (I think you have to create an account)
