Are USCIS or the US Consulate Predjudiced?

20 posts in this topic

Recommended Posts

USCIS is concerned with whether or not your relationship is bona fide and not for immigration purposes. So, you should focus on evidence showing a real relationship, you can find plenty of help on this site regarding that.

Also, in some cases, depending on what country the beneficiary is from, there is higher scrutiny as some countries have more cases of fraud than others. They cannot deny a K-1 because of your religion or political views. It would be denied because they don't think the relationship is real/is fraudulent, i.e. marrying to get a green card.

Any individual can be prejudiced for any number of circumstances. But how you met, your religion, your race, etc. won't be a reason for a denial of the petition or refusal of the visa.

Either way, it's not an issue for USCIS or a CO. They've seen child brides, all sorts of religions, human and drug traffickers, many cultures, arranged marriages, proxy marriages, etc. One's political stance is not going to bat an eye.

I agree. You can enclose a copy of the TOS saying it’s not an IMBRA (and I probably would with a dating site such as this....since it is “specificic to a certain group of people” and probably not a well known site like “Match” or “E harmony”.)

That being said.....

After waiting for the NOA2 and then proceeding with the DS160.....the form DS160 asks you if you have any affiliation with a group, have any memberships, belong to any clubs....you do (since you met on a particular affiliation website). You may also want to look into whether the groups you have an affiliation in are on any watch lists.

You need to answer truthfully.

Those answers will be examined and scrutinized.

Just make sure you disclose how you were met and be honest

interesting title of this topic considering the website seems to promote being prejudiced against anything non-white

Me and my fiancé met on a website called wasp.love. It is for Christian Conservative singles with traditional values. That is the reason why I went on there.

Will the USCIS or the Consulate see this as racist and deny the K1 visa?

What does racism have to do with this? Sorry but that's absurd.

Ah yes. Very classy.

Edited to add: in that case, I'd be more concerned with the agency wondering if OP is involved with neo-Nazi activities and people.

Most likely that site is on a watchlist.  That is why I would anticipate AP taking quite a while for them.
