Boarding passes must always match the name on the travel document. That's your passport here.

When you mail in your withdrawal, pay the few extra bucks and send it as expedited mail. And keep a copy of the form for your records  before you you close the envelope.

Good luck, OP.  So sorry this happened to you.  Another popular saying: No good deed goes unpunished!

She sounds manipulative. The fact that she is telling you lies that she will withdraw it for you (which legally she can't) and the fact that she told you it was only for show. Cut all ties with her. Get a lawyer, if need be, to let her know she can not use any of your information moving forward. And which ever family member that petitioned her should be informed as well. Protect yourself.

    Best of luck to you.

You need to call USCIS today

You can withdraw the support affidavit anytime up to the time of the interview and approval.  If you do not, then you are on the hook for 10 years.  It cannot be withdrawn.

I suggest that you send a letter with the information that you have - name, address, name of her petitioner and both mail it in and make an appointment to hand carry that letter to a local USCIS office.

    Exactly!!!

@Joyce1524, you should have your phone in your hand ready to dial when the offices open. Write may take some time. You should gather all the contact numbers now and call until you get a confirmation. You don't need a reason to pull the affidavit. If you don't want to be a cosponsor anymore, so be it. Start calling now and follow up with a letter later.

One more important thing... you sister can NOT withdraw YOUR affidavit. It is a legal government document signed by YOU. She is blowing smoke by saying she will do it. Think about it. Just like she can't file your taxes are make changes to your bank account.

An Extension Letter by itself is meaningless. It's valid ONLY along with expired green card. Which you do not have anyway, so no need to be afraid that an Extension Letter will be taken by USCIS.

So in your case it would be really wise to get a I-551 stamp in your unexpired passport/travel document.

I've traveled internationally  with the stamp several times  - no issues, at all. the only thing you should keep in mind - if coming back, you have more than 1 stop within US - give it more layover time. With a stamp you, most likely, will be pulled to  a secondary during your first stop in the uS. Nothing to be afraid of - it's a normal routine, if someone enters the country with I-551 stamp. You just never know how busy an airport and how long it can take.

Have a safe trip and enjoy your time in Mexico!!

I sent a request to remove my contingency on my card and did not have to interview. As long as you send sufficient evidence that your marriage is in fact real. For example, bank statements, tax returns, vehicle registrations, etc...

You can include anything you want as secondary or supplemental evidence.   There is however required evidence that if not included will cause the petition to be denied,  no matter how much of this other evidence is included.   Its best to be concentrate and be confident that you have hit all the uscis requirements.   Quality not quantity

Recommend that you strive to get your husband to execute even a simple Will.
Your attorney or the hospice people can almost certainly help you.

This will help you in "life" and possibly as evidence in the Adjustment process.

Just happened to me too. The border officer didn’t do something correctly so we didn’t get the SSN. We went to the local SSN office and our SSN was issued within 3 business days.  5 days after that our GC came.  This all just happened last week and our date of entry was 6/15. It took over a month. Don’t worry.

I see this thread imploding shortly.  Before it does, my thoughts:

All you can do is help people with no thought of what you may get in return, or feel that you should get something in return, in my opinion.  If they never speak to you again, comfort yourself in the knowledge that you were a good person by trying to help someone else.

My husband did this a few weeks ago. He had his ESTA renewed, brought a letter from our attorney stating he was not intending to stay and adjust status, and evidence of his return ticket. He wasn’t questioned. Customs and visit went smoothly. Best of luck!

Was looking for answers only. I work hard everyday so its not laziness and have no one to borrow from and would not ask if so. But God will continue to see us thru as he has this far. Thanks

No you just progressed to another step!

Pay the fee, if you can, before entering the US.

And then you can relax for 21 months until filing your ROC.

    Congratulations!

I'm sorry if I seen to be without a clue here. With everything that is going on lately with this Visa process, its a wonder I can find my way home from work 😅. Believe me when I say, I Don't regret any of it, Not for 1 second! I absolutely cherish the ability to participate in this process and thank God every day for my Angel that he has Blessed me with. And I thank everyone here for sharing their knowledge so freely.

We are talking about Jay and Ashley from “90-day fiancé” on TLC.

He had a NTA for August due to his expired I-94 and not being in status at the moment. She didn’t file his AOS or she withdrew the I-864 (she is prone to changing her story). However he breached a protective order that she had against him and a warrant was issued for his arrest. He turned himself in on the warrant and he was immediately handed over to ICE and is currently in their custody.

Finding another woman to marry in his case shouldn’t be too difficult. The whole marriage fell apart due to his activities with other women. And there is no shortage of women setting up Go Fund Me things for him now and visiting him in the prison.

As as I understand it their divorce is not yet finalized. I don’t think he will have time to finalize the divorce, remarry and file a new AOS before being put on a plane to Jamaica.

From what I know, one cannot adjust status thru another petitioner once arrived on a K1 thru the original petitioner. Once their status expires after the 90-day period, they have to return and begin K1 process with the new petitioner.
