Hey!

 

I'm planning on taking a trip home but I need to know if I should book the flight using the name on my passport or on my green card? When I married I added to my last name so the names on the 2 documents are different.

The official identification document worldwide is the passport, so tickets MUST match that name exactly. 

The green card is just to grant you entry to the US.

Book using the name exactly as on your passport. That is your travel document and it needs to match. 

Take your Greencard (obviously) when you go and slip a copy of your marriage certificate into whatever you use to keep your travel documents when you travel. When you enter the US you'll need your GC and the marriage certificate serves of proof of your name change, assuming you are the wife and changed your name based on marriage.  

 

When traveling, all airlines state clearly that you MUST enter your name exactly as it appears on your passport (international travel) or approved government issued ID (domestic travel).

Boarding passes must always match the name on the travel document. That's your passport here.

Also, you should carry evidence linking your passport's name to your green card. This would generally be a copy of your marriage certificate.

This is so the airline staff can associate the green card with you, and therefore use it for boarding purposes.
