I agree with @Adventine -- you got trolled by that American who said you could get a US passport for your Filipina wife.  Do NOT even attempt to apply for a US passport for her.  Only US citizens may get a US passport.  Worst case, the US government could think that she is claiming US citizenship, which could result in her being banned for life from the US.

I think OP has a difficult time accepting that there are no “short cuts”, “back door ways” or loopholes in bringing his wife to the US.
 

All US citizens have to go the proper way, what makes this case more special than others? I don’t see it. Marriage to a US citizen alone, even if he or she is a veteran, does not grant any immigration rights - you actually have to go through the proper process to have anything granted immigration wise. The faster this reality is accepted, the sooner you can get the boll rolling in this very lengthy process (~18-24 months).

The time to have asked for input and made a plan was before you did anything. 

 

We had a plan with a few different options not knowing if we were coming to the US.  Once we knew we were coming to the US we had everything together to get our Visa done quickly with very very little time apart.

 

If you have legal residency in the Philippines and have job offer to the US then you may be able to do the DCF with exceptional circumstances.

When you see what is happening at our southern border it seems extremely unfair with all of the hoops we need to jump through and the length of time that it takes to legally bring a family member here. I mean we have thousands of people daily just walking in with no need for a medical exam, no cost, very little paperwork, free accommodations, etc.  It makes you feel like there should be some shortcut somewhere to make it a little easier for us. Sadly there is not. If you have everything ready, send it in yesterday. Start the process, there will be no way to bring her to America legally than the I-130 route. We did ours during Covid and it added over a year of extra time to get our visa, so I feel your pain. We even had 2 children together and it was heartbreaking being away from them. It's a long process but worth it in the end.

You have been posting on VJ since 2019, did you take the time to read the guides yet?  Might be useful to read again, and then, the instructions for the forms.  Just to get a better understanding on what is what; what is a visa, what is a passport, what you need to get through each step.

Since the OP has residences in both the US and the Philippines the waiting should not be a big issue.  File the I130, get through the IR1 process,  move to the US and in about 5-6 years from filing the I130, the wife can naturalize.

I got married in the Philippines to my wife. Marriage is recognized everywhere. No need to remarry. Your finance will not be able to get U.S passport just because she is marry to you, she needs to be naturalized as U.S citizen. sounds like the person giving this advice is a scammer or does not know

There is no legal shortcut to get her over here. However, when I did it there were ways, you could speed up the process once your petition was at the national visa center but that was to speed up the time a little. It did not bypass any requirements

Once I get my USCIS account number abd she recieves her philippine passport i plan to apply for a tourist spouse visa in hopes she can wait in the states while her spouse visa is being processed.  We understand that she will not be allowed to work during that time.

Which visa are you planning to request first, spousal, or tourist?
