  1. I was just going to ask for any advice on applying for a spouse tourist visa. There is a drop down screen asking what type of tourist visa I am applying for, spouse was listed, when i tapped it, it asked for my USCIS account number, I didnt have it at the time, I have it now, further down it asked for her passport information, we just got that today also. So I'm ready to apply for it unless i get advice from here that its not advisable.
  2. I sent in the I-130 and I-130a, Im waiting for an account number that the tourist spouse visa is asking for,
  3. Once I get my USCIS account number abd she recieves her philippine passport i plan to apply for a tourist spouse visa in hopes she can wait in the states while her spouse visa is being processed. We understand that she will not be allowed to work during that time.
  4. thanks for your input, im finding out she cant get a us passport, why i was asking, i dont want to make the spouse visa any harder than it is. I heard the embassy can process the visa if they want to, im working on that too, im not trying to do anything illegal, just looking for a legal backdoor that is publisized if you know what i mean, we had a long wait to get her annulment done due to covid, then it took us 5 months to process the paperwork to get the decree. I will ask if there is anything we can do to get the embassy to process it, if not, ill fly home and send the application in, it is ready to go. Thanks for you comments. If i find anything out, ill post it.
  5. If I knew the answers I wouldnt be asking the questions. I stated that we need to apply for a spouse visa using the I-130 I-130a applications. I am trying to find short cuts that are legal and wont hinder the spouse visa process, this is why I am getting advice. I dont know where else to get information at this point. We have an appointment tomorrow to sign her up for military benefits at the US Embassy VA office in Manila, I will ask there also and then see what we find when we try to apply for a US passport at the US Embassy in Manila next week. Everything we do is legal, we will not lie on the applications. We are married and I would like to take her home with me while we wait for her visa. Thanks for your input. Dan & Juliana Nora
  6. Hi, I married my Filipina finally, we have an appointment at the Manila US Embassy VA to enroll her into military benefits May 25th, and an appointment to apply for her US Passport at the Manila US Embassy on June 5th. While at the mall I was talking to a US Citizen who told me I could take my filipina wife to the states on a US Passport then send in the I-130 and I-130a applications from the US. I need some advice on this, he also said I would need to marry her again in the US. If anyone has information on bringing her to the US using her US Passport it would be greatly appreciated. I dont want to break any laws that would could enfringe on getting her visa processed. I have recieved good advice from VisaJourney members so far and appreciate all your help. We just finished getting her annulment decree through the system which only took us 5 months. Once I get through this process and have a better idea about it through my experience, I will be sharing my experiences and help answer questions. Thank you any information about taking her home on a US passport before turning in the I-130 application. Dan & Juliana Nora
  7. The jobs are legit from assoiciates that do have a job for her. We have an appoint at the embassy May 25th to enroll her for military benefits, we are going to see if there is some type of back door we can use to get it done, if not then i will send the application in through normal channels. I dont think it will take that long, less than a year. So that is our plan B.
  8. I am learning about this, what does DCF stand for? I did 30 yrs Air Force, thanks for your service
  9. Hi, finally got the annulment decree. We are planning to marry May 20th in the Philippines. She has two job offers in the US starting this summer and I have a residence in the Philippines and another in the US. From what I understand the embassy could accept to process our I-130. How do I ask the embassy if they would process our visa? Thank you for your help. Dan & Juliana
  10. I have been the camp host at Honeymoon Flat since 2016, I'm not going to be able to make it this year for opener. They arent sure when it is going to open due to all the snow. My goal for coming here is to get married, I cant believe how long and the hassle it is to get the final annulment document, We went to the statistic center yesterday to check on it and was told to come back on April 21st to pick it up. After that we can start the marriage process, I hope its no as complicated and time consuming as the annulment. Once we get married I can get back to my camphost job. Luckily, my 5th wheel is parked in Smith Valley NV 55 miles north off 395. If youre ever in the area, stop in sometime and say hi. Thanks for the advice. Dan and Juliana .
  11. We went to the statistics center yesterday for the annulment decree, they said to return on April 21st. On the affidavit, I can have it notarized anywhere now and the annulment doesnt need to be publicized as her lawyer kept telling us that it was needed. Thanks for all your info and advice. Dan and Juliana
  12. Since we will be in Manila tomorrow, we will stop by the embassy and inquire about it. All the can tell me is no.
  13. Wow, congratulations, thats great. I hope it all works out. Is she keeping her Philippine citizenship also?
  14. Thank you for the information, I had a copy of the Affidavit in Lieu of letter, I liked the one you sent me better, I was able to fill it out on the computer and print it. We will visit the stastics center next week and I will find out for sure where I need to have it notarized. Thanks for your advice, much appreciated Dan & Juliana
  15. Hi, I have been making the house payment here since jan 2020, it was part of our agreement so she could come home and get the annulment. The house is in her kids name, she is buying it for them. I have receipts and bank statements that show withdraws at philippine ATMs to make the payments. I looked at form I-864 and it is talking about tax records which I dont have any deductions for either of my homes. I am not very familar how visajourney works, how do I PM you?
  16. Thank you for your advice, yes i meant a I-130, I also filled ut the I-130 a and attached it to my application. All we need now is the annulment and then the marriage license to move on. We will see if the embassy in Manila can process the visa for us once we get married. Thanks again, Dan and juliana
  17. Congratulations on her citizenship interview. Let me get this straight, you didnt have to go through the normal spousal visa, you were able to use the manila embassy because you were living here? I have a domicile here and in Nevada, so I can go through the embassy and get her visa? I have a camp host summer job in Bridgeport CA, if we can go through the embassy I will stay here and get it done, They will hold my job for me. I hope we can stay in touch, I really appreciate your knowledge and help. I will inquire at the embassy when we go there for the notarization on monday. Thans so much Dan & Juliana
  18. We got the list of what doce we needed and have all of them together. The one you helped me with was the last one in question. We have a minister lined up to marry us when we are ready. Getting everything filed could be another problem. I dont need to be here for that, she can get that done on her own. Did you take your wife to the US? I-19 is the spouse visa application.
  19. Thank you for clearing that up. I do have a form for that purpose that i will take down to the embassy in manila next wednesday. Did your wife have to go through an annulment? I hope not. it has been a nightmare getting the right forms signed, original copies made waiting here and there days for a return and we think we got it and something else pops up. Our package just got to the statistic center in manila and that is upto a 15day wait before we can go and pick up her final decree so we can move on. I think we will stop by there when we go to the embassy and see is we can get them to give us the document. I want to get married before i go back to the states so i can send the I29 application in. Just need the annulment decree and marriage license. If you have any suggestions on the I29 app I would like to hear about it. Thanks for all your help. I will share anwers once i get through this experience. Dan
  20. Thank you for the information. In the marriage section of form ds5542 it asks for date of marriage, we havent been married yet, we are preparing to get married. What part of the form do I need to fill out for permission to get married? Thanks again Dan
  21. Hi, we are planning to get married in the Philippines. Does anyone have what requirements I need to get Married. I have a list of requirements and all the documentation to show I can marry. A required document "Certificate of Legal Capacity to Contract Marriage for U.S. Citizens" is a form I filled it out and it needs to be norterized. I was told I need to go to the US Embassy but they didnt say why. Can anyone tell me what that is about and how long it will take for what ever they need to do? She got her Annulment finalized in Dec 22, we have been working to get all the documents signed and turned in to the proper offices since Jan. We hope to get the final decree this month so we can get married, then I will apply for her spouse visa, the application is ready to be sent in, I'm waiting for the annulament and wedding license. We have been engaged since Oct 19, 22, and have lived together for a year. I need to get back to the states for my summer job and my time is running out. This annulment has taken a lot longer than we had planned. Thanks for any information. Thank you Sincerely, Dan P.S. Once I get through this process, I will help others get through it. It has been a learning process.
  22. I think I understand how to do it. Thanks for your help Dan
  23. Hi, I have an UCSIS account that I amusing to complete my I-130 application. I have searched for the I-130A application for spouse visa on my account and cant find one. Can the I-130A be submitted online like the I-130? Can it be filled out in my account or does she need her own account? Thanks for your time, Dan
  24. I am in the filipines with my fiancee, we are still waiting for her annulment which should be annouced any day now. I found out that I need to go to the US Embassy with my passport and divorce decrees and apply for a background check before we can get married here. 1. Do we need her Annulment paperwork for me to apply for the background check? 2. How long does it usually take, and what is the cost? I have a visa extension unitl Jan 30, 2023, at that time I can apply for another 5 months. We are hoping to be married by that time. I believe I wont need anymore extensions once we are married. I appreciate any help on this matter and your past experiences in this case. Sincerely, Dan
