Am I confusing this case with the one where the gentleman has already entered the USA? Are you sure your husband is not already here?

The number of African (let me limit it to Nigerians and Ghanaians, I am Ghanaian) husbands who will obtain an immigrant visa and then tell their American spouse to go ahead and cancel the visa because they want a divorce is less than 0.03%. Will a man dying of dehydration in the desert refuse a glass of water? 😁

Once again, are you very very very sure with incontrovertible evidence that your husband has not already entered the USA?

Yep, that was @Josh or. He’s in the US, wife wants a divorce

I remember you.  Big age difference, right?  I would cut your losses and be thankful you were not scammed further.

My husband is wanting a divorce but I don't im also sick but don't want to cancel the visa if we get the divorce can he still come on our spousal visa if I don't cancel it? He asked me to cancel it but I haven't

I am sorry that you’re in this situation. If I remember correctly, he’s from Nigeria but lives in Ghana, and there’s an age gap.
I know now it may sound horrible, but this might be a blessing. You might be saving yourself from a scam.

I'm so sorry the visa process has been so long and arduous for the two of you. But, if your husband has decided he wants to divorce and end the immigration process you should honor that wish.

Do not think of it as wasted time/money. If you continue the process with a partner who no longer wants to be with you it can become even more expensive!

Husband will not be able to come to the US on the spousal visa if you are no longer married.

I would file for divorce in the US and not Nigeria/Ghana so you both know the divorce is real and neither of you have issues if you decide to remarry each other (or another person).

Trust me if he was already here we wouldn't be having these issues now

Sounds like y'all are frustrated about the wait and the process. Remember that if you withdraw the visa, you cannot withdraw the withdrawal. You'll start from scratch. Are you sure this isn't something you guys can talk about?

How do I cancel the visa?

Never done it and other people can advice.

There is online portal if you are at NVC stage:

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html

"You can write the details of your petition and attach copies of a signed withdrawal request letter electronically.

Be sure to include the above-mentioned personal and petition details, and attach a copy of the approval  notice of your immigrant petition."

Email and/or mail USCIS, NVC, and the consulate.  Provide a statement which says "I hereby withdraw I-130, receipt #, names.  If you have submitted an I-864, withdraw it also.  Once you send those emails, there is no turning back.  Good luck.  Seek happiness for yourself.

"The US immigration process requires a great deal of knowledge, planning, time, patience, and a significant amount of money.  It is quite a journey!"
