  1. Yes, these are benefits of being a citizen. But the question was, why did she want to be a citizen.
  2. Get married and apply for spouse visa. There is no appealing a denied fiancé visa.
  3. You were NEVER legally married to your current "wife" because you were not legally divorced when you married her. You can't divorced someone you're not legally married to. You need to marry her legally.
  4. She was adopted by another family member. You're not legal siblings for the benefit of immigration. Even if that weren't the case, there's a good 25-30 year waiting time for siblings. Easily.
  5. She said in her original post that she is ill and gets money from the state, so that means she's probably not working at the moment. My brother in-law lives in Amsterdam and he ,too, is ill and unable to work right now, and I know that his rent is 100% paid for by the state because of his illness and he gets money every month for food and living expenses, plus free healthcare. 7. What are you not understanding? Your parent CANNOT enter the U.S using a visitor visa with the INTENT to STAY and adjust status!!! It is visa FRAUD and will result in a lifetime ban for your parent. It's a big fat no. Your ONLY option is consular processing. Period. End of story.
  8. Real or fake, don't be sending money to random people on the internet.
  9. You're both adults and should be able to behave for an immigration interview. This is your future you're talking about.
  10. There is no sponsorship for a visitor visa. The person must apply and be approved based on THEIR OWN merits.
  11. Been here 12 years, never once heard of anyone being forced to open their envelope. Stop worrying about things that aren't a thing.
  12. I went to my husband's interview with him and the IO came out to the waiting room and introduced himself to me.
  13. What isa CS1 visa? Are you talking about CR1? This is a DIY site, the majority of us have done the entire process on our own. As long as your case isn't complicated, then no reason for an attorney.
  14. Don't ever assume anything when iy comes to immigration! How old are your children?
  15. You won't be getting a waiver for that. Just being honest...
  16. Several people have already told you that his conviction does NOT matter!!! It is HER visa, it's HER criminal record that matters!!!
  17. Not sure where you came up with a timeline of 5 months for an RFE, it's usually a lot quicker than that.
