Hello Agusia! Congratulations on you getting your green card! I have a question about SSN , do you have a SSN number? Bc we have a problem I don't have it, so my husband can't add me to apartment lease and bank account. As a proof, that which we need provide on our interview. Did you guys have same problem?

Kami&Toddy my husband got his SSN a few weeks after he got here. Did you apply for it yet? Also I didn’t add my husband to our apartment lease but I put him on my water and electric bill, as well as my car insurance. Some banks might be able to open an account for both of you without SSN. Try usbank if you have any around you. Let me know if you have any other questions. I’d be happy to help.

Just looked at your timeline. Looks like you’re from Appleton just like me. Your interview is coming up so that’s exciting, but you might want to take care of that SSN as soon as possible. Is there a reason you don’t have one by now?
blank avatar Kami&Toddy on 2019-11-01 said:
Hello Agusia, yes we applied for ssn, in 2 weeks I came here, and 3 months our papers was in the process, we went there 2-3 times to check. And in 3 months they said that sorry your fiance visa was expired and you can't apply for ssn, wait your green card🙁.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
