I am a military spouse and i'm going through the IR1 process like everyone else.

I do not think i am better or people should treat me any different because my husband is in the US Navy, no. He is serving his country and making sure i get in the country according to the law. I do not judge those who entered illegally, but c'mon if they loved their country so much, why didn't they respect it? " i'm untouchable" ...PLEASE! -.- 

Makes me mad as well, demanding and pretending to be treated differently. When it's about LAW -you follow it like anybody else!

Yeah that "untouchable " part made me furious also. What also made me sad that after I commended on the article on Facebook I was immediately attacked for being insensitive.  Ummm. 

 

Best part of all that is her husband voted for Trump also. ♡

She then tried to cross over a year later and when asked if she was a USC she said YES, when it came out that she wasn't then she was deported again. She then crossed back over sometime later, met and married him then had kids. She was then picked up at a traffic stop in 2013 and that is when the family actually filed for AOS, she was then ordered to be deported which was stayed then.

Why is the youngest child leaving the country? No one is making her leave except her parents. I'm assuming she was born here and is therefore a USC. I couldn't read the whole article so maybe that is answered in the article.

I've seen several stories of people being deported where i think ' come on, cut them a little slack'. this is NOT one of them 😕

This pisses me so bad I had to vent. So here we have this tearful article about poor military spouse (entered US illegaly, never fixed status) who is being deported and suddenly everyone should feel sorry because her family is being torn apart and it should NEVER happen because her spouse is veteran... And of course everyone blaming Trump. 

I'm sorry??? Her husband never bothered to help her acquire legal status. They just lived like this until finally law caught up with then and they went crying to media about how unfair immigration are and there should be exceptions for military personnel.. 

 

Using the husband "job" as a reason to be above the law... So what's stopping spouses of police members or foreigners for claiming exceptions also? I mean, integrity of their families don't matter? Aren't they heroes also?

 

I've been following this story for a while and I'm really glad they didn't get away with it after all.  Being a military spouse, this kind of military entitlements is absolutely the worst. 

 

Basically until recently she claimed that "military spouses are untouchable" and couldn't be deported but evil, bad Trump changed the rules and suddenly she realized that she is indeed deportable. 

 

It pisses me off that thousands of other foreign military spouses do things the right way and we have this one who apparently decided that rules don't apply to her.

Don't you know since your FB all day supposedly that Russia had fake FB accounts that posted about stuff and that caused you to change your vote.... Whatever.... Just like the Cambridge Analytica thing how there is this big uproar about it when Obama did the same damn thing in 2012 and was lauded for using "cutting edge technology to help his campaign".

I think at the end of the day he is going to do more good for immigration than not and future applicants will have less BS out there that take away from legit applicants. Again aside from any honest mistakes with a visa forms if you have nothing to hide your good.

in all seriousness, as a military spouse did she not have to show some kind of valid documentation to live/visit/possibly work on base?  what about for her military benefits (insurance, etc)? how MANY people dropped the ball on this or is none of this verified (I have family in the military but dont speak to them so cant make a phone call and ask lolololol)
