I been talking to this guy for a year and he is from Morocco. I am new to immigration rules and paper work. The other thing is that the guy is a few years younger than me. What should I do? If the guy is a few years younger than me will this be in questioning on what we want to get marry? I am also on SSA disability and the financial part of showing proof just puzzle me. If I go back to work I don't know if an employer would hire me based on my condition or will find a good higher paying job.

What are your thoughts, feedback and comments? What should I do?

The guy said he will love me and always stay with me which I find very romantic. I do not want to get divorced.

1.  Google marriage Scams and see if he fits any of these profiles.

2.  Learn about his culture.  Does the idea of the cultures family dynamics match his future plans with you?

3.  Is he Muslim?  Does he have any wish for you to convert?

4.  If you are not Muslim study Islam.   Do any of the ideas on how a man cares for his wife sound like how he cares for you?

You have gotten a lot of good advice here already but at the end of the day you are an adult and you will do what you want.   Its good that you honestly reached out before jumping in...in addition please do your research.  Not all men are scammers but you'll see a pattern.    One common thing I see  is that they claim to be completely  and 100% ok with a woman even if everything about her goes against his beliefs.  Please be careful!

Good luck in whatever direction you choose!

The guy is 18 years younger than me. He was the one that contact me and kept contacting me. We have not met in person. I do question him a lot on what he pick me or why he want to pursue a relationship with me even the age different. I even told him I can't just marry anyone for a green card. I am not going to waste my time I told him. He keep showing me on face time how poor he is and is not happy in his country. He don't practice his religion. I am catholic. The amazing part he dress just like a New Yorker with his style just like the guys here in New York City.

Would age difference be a problem?

Would I be making a mistake of marrying him?

I don't care what religion or color you are .. if I like the person I like the person.

its not porblem and religion and color its not probleme but if he love you so much juste you can see this and you can feel whan semone love you so much  and the age its juste number but you be sur aboute if he honest or no  i wish you the best

I read all the posts. Yes I see the red flags. Thank you for nice comments and some just saying it with no filters.

I know falling in love based on hearing what you always wanted to hear from a guy. Maybe I need to share my thoughts and put it out for the universe to hear my heart hurting and I figure talk it out is a therapy thing.

18 year difference is no big deal if it's a gay relationship, or straight relationship where the man is much older than the woman, it's normal to social norm. (Trump - Melania is 24, fyi ;))

BUT it is a big big difference if you are a woman dating a guys 18 years younger than you are. I know I know, but no, it is not a social norm, so it's not normal. It surely is legit, but you need solid evidence.

Considering your financial situation, I would say, don't bother. It's an uphill battle with all the frustration you don't have to deal with.

It's pretty clear that you detect something weird about him, but you don't want to admit it. But it's ok.

Still curious how the OP's significant other would respond to the query of "why don't I just move to Morocco instead?"

It's a good test of love sometimes.

@Ontarkie out of curiosity---has the posting limit for new users been raised/eliminated since the site update the other night?

Wondering because the OP is newly joined this morning, and just realized they are above the 10-post limit (I believe used to be in effect before for users within the first 24 hours?)

This has been questioned a few times. I need to ask the Captain again to see if something has changed.

Yup, I was seeing more red flags than Moscow's may day parade on a bad swimming day.

I'm not altogether sure we're not being trolled by OP.

I was thinking the same thing based on the very first post but I figured I'd play along...  Aloha,  david
