Hello friends,

Let me read what you guys have say about this.

My Fiance has a child that lives with her mother far way from Manila, I met my Fiance 3 times, and we travel outside PH, I never met her child or any other member of the family.

What implications this may have on a K1 process?

Thanks

Van Der

The requirements state that you and your fiance must have met in person - which you have, so you're fine.  Make sure you send proof of that with your application (boarding passes, photographs, receipts, passport stamps etc).

It would be nice if you could meet your fiance's children, but it's not a requirement and I don't expect you're going to have a hard time for it.  If you visit again during the process and you do meet them, just collect the evidence as above so that you can submit if if they ask for it.

Good luck with your journey.

You have been there 3 times but never met any family at all, where is she from what province? This smells to me really bad.

Just telling you man to man that you need to met her family and go to her place. @Hank

Her family lives on a 'non so safe area', and she does not like the idea of me going there, we talk about the idea of bringing her son and mother to another less terrorist active area, but never put the idea in practice.

But the main reason I never went to see her family has something to do with the embassy issuing travel warnings/restrictions to the area where family members are.

I have only met my fiancé sister. None of her other family members as she does not have contact with them.

My fiancé has met 2 of my 4 children. Sadly I have t even seen my twins since February of 2017. Highly unlikely that they will visit prior to turning 18 (in Oct of 2019).

Personally im and not concerned by it.

My fiancee is from El Salvador and lives in Soyacity which is one of the central areas of MS13 but I actually stay out there and make visits with her family. I agree with everyone else while its not a requirement you should get a few photos for the interview stage.

This is not like  the opening but thank you for sharing. This type of thing is common in the Philippines when your trying to hide another bf or a husband.

what part of the Philippines is she from? My wife is from Zamboanga Del Norte in Mindanao which is on the caution list. I feel safe there, safer than in NYC, Chicago or any other major US City, just be sensible, act quietly, don't flash cash, be respectful, you may be an oddity in the provinces but that's it.

On the kid front, inability to get along with the kid or tolerate his behavior will have a dramatic effect on your relationship with your fiancé/spouse, better to let that genie out of the bottle sooner than later

I agree with the rest, something appears "Not Right"

Exactly this just follow what your wife or fiance does then you will be fine. My wife has two phones for the Philippines. She has a nice phone for at home and a basic phone for out and about.

Exactly, and I'm not an expert, but I would certainly think this would raise some red flags at the interview stage. I don't think anyone would expect a genuine and lasting marriage from two people if one hasn't even met the child they will be raising together.

Sounds shady as hell.  Honestly.

Usually mother would want their children to meet their future step father.

How long you know her?

What about child's father?

Is she divorced?

Is there any age gap between you?

Yes, She does want me to meet them :D, the way I put it made look bad... Her child is being raised by her mom since 6 months old, she only works and support the them. fro the last 5 years.

How long you know her?  Almost 2 years.

What about child's father? Nowhere to be found!

Is she divorced? Never married.

Is there any age gap between you? 16 years
