Not sure if it counts but I'm still waiting for this phantom RFE to be printed then mailed. Nothing has been done with it since Tuesday, maybe even earlier, and they said they can't tell me what it says until it's printed and scanned in. Frustrating.

I’m a veteran police officer in Tennessee. My fiancé lives in a South Africa. We filed February 14, 2018. I figured my background shouldn’t take that long since I’ve been a cop since 2006. Apparently I was wrong. We’re still patiently waiting however I do understand everyone situation is different (location, divorce, kids, background), so expecting all cases to be approved during the same time is not realistic. I do sympathize though because I haven’t seen my woman since October 9, 2017 but I’ll wait for  as long as it takes, with Gods help. Godspeed to you all. Oh yeah, what’s this old site / new site? I only know of the old site.

You can look at it two different ways. Either you're an extremely late February person who gets an approval. Or hopefully one of the first people in March to gets an approval. Either way in the end you're going to receive your approval and everything's going to be good

I am 27th of February old website and 2nd of March on the new website. We are March filers  Hopefully next week they start approving our months 😉

This is my same situation, I'm the beneficiary and I did everything (research, prepare file, evidence, etc) I gave him on his last visit the file with a lot of post its (sign here) and instructions a few things missing that we needed from him. I sat him and explained the whole process and I was like "This is expensive" / "We will need later all this x information" / " I won't be able to work" / "I'll depend on you" / etc and he was just laughing and saying "I understand Babe" 😂😂😂 I just wanted to avoid a further problem like "I didn't don't this was so expensive" or things like that... So far (after almost a year) he keeps asking "sooo what's next and why is this taking so long?"................................

 

I get it, he's been working is "#"$ off to save money and to get his house ready by the time I'm there, he does extra hours and full weekends... I understand his situation and I have more "free" time so I took leadership on this. Also I'm VERY organized and... I might have trusting issues with people doing my paperwork lol

Yeah lmao same here.

 

But gladly for the work I do i dont need a work permission. Everything goes over him, I am just editing his videos for youtube, which makes us more money at the end because he can upload more often. I always wonder how normal couples do that when they are depending on a normal job. 6 or 7 Months without working is such a long time.

I honestly need a vacation from work, and I'm grateful that money is not a big issue so he told me that choice is mine (to work or stay at home) I honestly want to start my own business so I'll take the free time before EAD to study and prepare to do something for me later. I doubt I'll go back to the corporate work... but I know I won't survive staying at home for more than a few weeks.
