They never asked for my driver license in my N-400 interview (Jun 2017). As mentioned, residency can be easily established by other things such as: bills, rental leases, mortgage documents, deeds of houses, ...

--> Not really, gathering up paperwork is all you can do at this time.

---> No, USCIS will not mail another notice. They will (supposedly) update the case status when the case has been physically sent. That will take a few weeks (2-4 weeks).

---> The NVC will send you an email, called the welcome package. It will have instruction on how to do it. You will do it online.

Note: After the USCIS package arrives at the NVC, it will take them another few weeks to input into their system. During this time, you can call the NVC, they can confirm that the received the package and when you can expect to receive that welcome email.

---> The NVC will tell you in that email.

Correct. And the “electronic signature” refers to the ability to sign documents electronically feature on certain adobe versions such as adobe pro. I do that all the time for work, but for USCIS, they want you to print it out and sign it the old fashion way

I don't think that's how it works. The affidavit of support is a legally binding contract between the petitioner and the beneficiary. Technically, the beneficiary doesn't have to do jack.  The beneficiary can be just not working and the petitioner has the legal responsibility to support the beneficiary until one of the conditions is met that someone mentioned above (naturalization, 40 quarters of work, giving up the GC or death). Also, it is worth noting that divorce is not one of those conditions. So technically, the beneficiary can come to the US, NOT work, get divorced and sue the petitioner for lifetime support, and since the affidavit of support is a legally binding contract, the court will have to honor it.  Worse, the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled that a sponsored immigrant seeking to enforce the support obligation created by an I-864 affidavit has no duty to mitigate damages, meaning the beneficiary does NOT have to make any effort to find employment.

How's that for "Affidavit of Support 101", do not sponsor (or joint sponsor) someone you (literally) does not want to spend the rest of your life with, because you will be stuck with them forever.

--> Probably TB (tuberculosis). This is Vietnam right? Very common that people have latent TB, especially in the north.
--> Only temporarily if they think it's active TB. They will deny a visa and she has to undergo a course of antibiotics for some months until they determine it's no longer active
--> I don't know anything about that, but US officials are very serious about not letting anyone with active TB to enter the US. It can cause a health crisis.

--> There is nothing you can do right now. She needs to follow up with the Doc to figure out what exactly it is.
--> I'm a pharmacist, not a doctor (though I play one on the internet) but if she's not coughing her lungs out, then it's probably not active. But you can carry the bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis anyway because so many damn people around you have it. Look up latent vs active TB

--> It's possible but I doubt it. They deal with this all the times over there, so it's not unusual for them at all. Over here in the States, however, it is so rare, and since it's considered a public health crisis, whenever there is a diagnosis, all sort of alarms went off. The local county health department needs to be involved beside the doctor and the hospital and they can/will quarantine the patient at home for 6 months or something like that. They will active send a nurse over to the patient's house every day to make sure the patient takes the meds in front of the nurse and he/she is not leaving the house. The entire staff at the hospital who had contacts with the patient has to be tested. It's completely nuts.

Anyway, I’d fire that lawyer and get someone else

I don't think so. EB3 is employment so it doesn't matter if you're married, not married, have 5 kids or no kid. How did your interview go? What did they ask? Did they seem to focus on your employer or on you? Most of the time, it is because they don't believe there is a valid employer-employee relationship or they don't believe the employer intend to or be able to continue the employer-employee relationship after you arrive in the US. Without more details, it is hard to say. I believe the procedure to return to USCIS is similar to FB petitions, that is once USCIS receives the returned petition from State, they will issue a NOID to the petitioner, the petitioner has a certain amount of time to respond and rebut. Then USCIS can either reaffirm the case and send back to the Consulate for another interview, or the will revoke the petition.

I think he's doctor shopping. In that case, I have two uncles who are doctors over there, one is a OBGYN and one a bone doctor, I think. But they will happily certify your fiancee does NOT have anything on her lungs whatsoever, for the right price, of course. And before anyone starts to chastise me, I AM KIDDING. It is called a joke.

Not a joke, though, you can get a second opinion all you want, but the only opinion that matters to the Consulate are the ones from the only two places that they authorized to do medicals for US immigration purposes:

Well, why did you income go up? Did you get a new job or something? The reason I ask is, because in some cases, for example, if you were a student and last year you make $5000. But this year you graduated and have a full time job with $50-60,000 salary. That’s completely normal, and they will be fine. However, they’re allowed to look at the totality of circumstances and this year the only reason your income went over the line becuase you had a bonus or you had a temporary second job or something and there is expectation that you can carry this amount of income into the future, then they can question that.

You can try to call the NVC with your USCIS tracking number. They should be able to confirm they receive the case from USCIS and when they expect to input the case into the system so you can start getting case number and such. I wouldn't worry about the online status thing. That system is full of glitches and not reliable.
