Hi everyone, has anyone here filed close to expiration date? I’m hoping to send it out oct 26-oct 29 and my spouses card expires nov 10. Do you think it will still be ok as long as they receive it before then? And also wondering do I send the $595 without the $85 biometrics fee and pay biometrics later if were called to do that? Thanks for the feedback

1.  Yes, as long as you send it before the expiration date, you don't need to explain anything.

2.  Send the fee for BOTH along with the ROC package.

March 21, 2023:   Wife's Passport Delivered!!!!

May 15, 2023 (about):  Naturalization Certificate returned from Passport agency!!

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Yes, that's fine as far as the date. You have to pay both the filing fee and the biometrics otherwise your application will be rejected.

Just a FYI; USCIS now accepts credit cards: https://www.uscis.gov/news/news-releases/uscis-expands-credit-card-payment-option-fees Thus, a quick way to get credit card rewards, for applicable credit card programs.

Your Input Is Appreciated On This VJ Guide Proposal:

Should I put it all on one check or seperate?

I would make it one check.

One check would be the best, IMO.

Great, maybe next year they'll have USCIS issued credit card and rewards program. "If you spend $5000 in the first month, you will get a direct line phone number to your adjudicator. If you spend $10,000, we will bump your application to the top of the pile!". Wouldn't that be great!
