Expedite: Our office considers this inquiry closed...

It's not in the published procedures. But it happens.

One learns about an option to request an expedited processing of their petition. One applies for it.

And gets denied. No worry, one can try again, can't one?

Except eventually there's a scornful response, whether it be after two attempts, three, four, or more.

Our systems indicate that you have previously contacted our office several times regarding this case with the same concern/question. We sent you responses to your previous inquiries on... and addressed your concern/question. Please review the previous responses you have received from us.  There is no new information to provide you at this time. Our office considers this inquiry closed.

Wait, what?

The first expedite request took a week to be reviewed and procure a reaction. The second one - a couple of days. Further ones - merely 24 hours.

Merit, just cause aside - it seems like expedites requests - past the first one - are simply swept under a rug (more informed opinions welcome) or promptly dismissed.

So, how does one move on? Has anyone tried to press on past a message like this? Has anyone succeeded after being denied?

In before additional questions: Various categories of expedite request criteria were used; new evidence was presented for each request. However, it appears that past a certain point requests are auto-denied - I'd love to be wrong here?

What category did you request an expedite under? Expedites are very difficult to get (I see you are from Russia; if it was war-related, I've seen those granted before, but they were often accompanied by reasons that would've granted an expedite on its own).

I don't think after a certain point requests get auto-denied, they're likely always reviewed because circumstances could change that would warrant a fresh review. But if you continuously submitted the same request without any new evidence, why would you think they would address it any differently?

Thank you for the response. Around March - April 2022, expedites for Russians were auto-granted like Christmas Candy (yes, I have Telegram chats to back it up). There have been fiancees going from the initial I-129F submission to an interview in under 2 months.

That said, and thank you for your input, but I'm mainly soliciting those, who had applied for an expedite, and had been denied.

No worries, I'm familiar with the Telegram chats and the Vinskyy Forum claiming the same. But from being here a while, I also recall some Russians/Belarusians getting theirs denied, with the exception of those in Belgorod region and/or being particularly affected by the SWIFT cutoff. I recognize those chats may say otherwise, but it sounds like USCIS stopped people from generically claiming being Russian was a valid expedite request before it got out-of-hand. It is, also, important to note that the Ukraine war is perhaps the first time in history where being a certain nationality has granted an expedite.

Best of luck. Hopefully someone in the R/U/B forum can be of more help.

This isn't related to expedites at USCIS but rather NVC.

You can read about experiences here.

Common advice was to make sure to wait about a month after first expedite request

AND MAKE SURE THE NEW EXPEDITE REASON WAS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT.

NVC experiences showed people would have their expedite refused immediately if they applied too soon after/with a similar reason.

How may times did you apply for expedite and how different were your reasons?

Was one medical, one financial, one war related or all the same... or did you give 3 different reasons each time?

I'm assuming your expedites weren't spaced out accordingly and your email address was flagged as someone who is spamming USCIS.

Maybe if you give more detail about your process others can point out where you went wrong.

Yeah, unfortunately you can’t pick and choose who gets to reply to your thread.

I’m very curious how many requests we’re  talking about here after your statement of  “further ones”. Seems like they caught on that you’re ‘expedite shopping’ after what seems like bombarding them with one expedite after another all within 3-4 months.

Exactly.  In US immigration matters, quality is almost always better than quantity.

Various categories of expedite request criteria were used

this stands out to me

either there is a good valid reason to attempt an expedite with documents to back the request or there isn't

asking over and over with new criteria is shopping

i really do wish u success with your petition but i think USCIS has seen a flood of expedite requests because of the long wait times and  they are skeptical of each one they receive

they do hold the power to accept or refuse and not much any of us can do but wait

That's their way of saying "You don't have a valid reason to expedite and with all these attempts and inquiries you're wasting our time. Kindly eff off".

You're asking how to move on - you do that like everyone else. You let the process take its course and wait your turn for the petition to get approved. It's very simple, we've all done it, why wouldn't you be able to?

My only question is: Why the USCIS was approving expedites requests in March/April for the same exact reasons it is denying them today? War is not over, sanctions are still in place, even worsened, people are still being prosecuted for freedom of speech. What has changed?
