They will not let her board the flight without some kind of proof that she will be allowed to enter the US.

 

I know that the Netherlands are extending the 90 days stay for Ukrainians, and they will also help with housing; other Schengen countries probably have similar arrangements.

I don't know what country the OP is in but, it might be a good idea to try Poland. The current news is that they were very accepting of refugees. That certainly won't help the OP entirely... but it would ensure their fiance is in a safe place.

Czechia and Slovakia are also accepting those fleeing Ukraine from what I heard last.

Nevermind- I see the suggestion to apply to stay as a refugee in the country they are currently living.

Stick to the K-1 fiance visa but make sure the embassy is aware of the location of your fiance, she has to request asylum in the EU, they are currently offering one year temp stay for all Ukrainians. You'll have to apply for a long stay visa wherever you are. She can not just board a plane to the us, unless she has a visa(as a Ukrainian citizen), even when you have a visa, your reason for coming into the country must be valid, if she has a US visa and makes it to US port of entry and is refused entry, then she should ask for asylum at that port of entry, then she cannot be sent back.

Hello, 

I'm glad y'all got out safe just as we did.

We had planned to submit CR-1 after our marriage planned that still happened on 26/02/2022. Luckily, I was in contact with Department of State and they told me to leave and to get a visa in a neighboring country, preferably Poland. So we got the tourist visa and we are traveling back to USA as we speak. You need to submit for expedited paperwork for your k1 visa so that the embassy can get it and you do the interview there. 

 

Hopefully this helps and I hope all her family and friends are safe.
