Vaccine Exemption for Philosophical Reasons

The statement/waiver process is supposed to be a thorough explanation of *your* personal beliefs/convictions regarding vaccines and why these beliefs require you to be exempt from the vaccine and overcome the denial. I’m not exactly sure how anyone here is suppose to help you with that, ESPECIALLY since you very plainly said you don’t wish to discuss stances on vaccines.

 

 If you’re so confident in your stance and your ability to get the outcome you desire... I’m not really sure what you’re asking for at this point. Impressively, some users have been able to provide some advice and guidance in response this thread, but you’ve been dismissive and honestly rude in response.

Life would be soooo much easier if he could move here (it's just an easier process all around), however as a US soldier that's simply not an option until we retire.

I think the issue here is that you don't believe you need a waiver, believing instead that you can just submit some written statement during the consular interview in Montreal (which, you should know, would be year(s) from now).  Immigration is a steep learning curve.  Good luck.

Not taking required vaccines is certainly your own decision.  It's also the decision of countries you want to travel to, to not to let you in if you don't have the required vaccines.

IMO VisaJourney has a problem that goes both ways. OPs get unnecessarily offended when receiving direct advice they don’t like to hear, but there’s no doubt that the “veterans” of this forum undertake a default tone of condescension when dealing with OPs who lack knowledge. The latter is a bigger issue as the longtime users of this site are mostly the ones who have been through the immigration process and who should know better. For example, a “veteran” presented it as a fact that we were going to miss my wife’s AOS and that my wife’s AOS was going to be denied after we hadn’t received our interview notice in 2 weeks after the status tracker update.

I wonder what kind of philosophical reasons someone would have to oppose vaccines so strongly. Reasons that apparently are worth adding much more time, expense and difficulty to an already long and expensive process.

 

On second thought, I didn't come to this forum to have anti- or pro-vax conversations. So... never mind.

 

If anti-vax is the way OP wants to go, and they feel so strongly about it, then nobody can stop them.

My understanding and this does not come up very often is that they are not judging you philosophical reasons, you just need to state them. The OP seems to have very strongly help views so it is a more committing them to paper.

 

Now if you have some religious/ group belief then it may well be a lot easier to demonstrate? There would be a body of work to print.

 

Strikes me like most waivers you need to go through the motions, tick the boxes and move on.
