Case Complete to Interview August 2020

So my July 28th interview was cancelled.

 We received an email with directions from the Embassy on how to reschedule it, and when I go do what they ask, the page says: "there are currently no available appointments".

Has anyone had anything similar happened ?

The country is Ukraine.

Truth is,  even these men who are immigration lawyers don't know! They don't have no idea, they're only doing all what they can to keep us all updated!  People need to get that clear,  I know it's sad and really frustrating though.  I have my  own case stuck at the Consulate Level since April 22nd 2020 awaiting interview at Lagos Consulate ...
 I can't help but just chill and wait even though it breaks my heart...   
I advice we all keep all hopes alive and have more patience,  because as it stands now; it's only gonna take God's special grace for this whole immigration brouhaha to be a thing of the past!  

PATIENCE THE KEY WORD...! 
We will all prevail and reunite with our loved ones soon by God's grace..   I send my love to everyone out there waiting and also  wish everyone waiting on the Embassies and Consulate to open up again Good luck. And don't forget,  STAY SAFE...!!!

Well it;s only natural to ask even vent. That's what this thread is for information and just coming together. Some watch YouTube, news all the embassies constantly checking (ME!! anything to give you guys an update.
For some this is a long journey so we all have to grow some patience but most of all some compassion.

No one should feel bad asking about their embassy or what's going on. That's what many of us admins and moderators are here for to help, educate and inform if we know what's up.

 

I know with Nigeria for instance has nothing to do with the US. Has everything to do with them opening up their country for travel so when that happens whenever it happens the Embassy will open again.

 

I been over this thread since Summer 2012 and see a whole lot. One thing I can say about all the wonderful souls that have blessed this thread is many have become friends it's like a family waiting for the next to get their good news.

So hang in there everybody the world will open back up soon, And you will have great stories to tell your children and grandchildren one day.😎

Visa types for what? The spreadsheet is majority IR1/CR1 if any other visa category people post I note it,. So if its blank it's spouse.

Noy a dumb question at all. Yes Case Complete and DQ is same thing and submitting things after DQ doesn't take you out the queue. But I would call them and alert them to the fact you uploaded that document.

I just received word from a friend needing an interview from the embassy in Turkey. They were originally scheduled for an interview right before the shutdown, and they received word today that their interview will take place in 2 weeks. For anyone waiting for Turkey, hopefully this is a sign that they have started going through their backlog!

CR1 visa? 😱 how it’s possible? They have to schedule appointment for you, not you by yourself. So sorry, so sad 😞

I'm very curious why US Consulate in Hong Kong still hasn't opened up for visa interviews. The COVID-19 situation here is pretty much well under control in the recent months. Our border is still closed for visitors to enter Hong Kong, but people can still fly out.

Yes, CR1. 

Apparently it is possible. Tried to call them yesterday, couldn't speak to a person. Going to try again today

FYI, With the 4th of July falling on a Saturday this year, they probably have today off and won't be answering phones.

We're DQ may 11 and still waiting for Amsterdam 🙃 I've heard about a few interviews being scheduled, so hopefully it won't be long anymore. 

 

I guess the only good thing about this extra wait is that we're married for 2 years in 2 weeks, so we'll become IR1..

I think most embassies that resume interviews will be busy with folks that have been cancelled for at least a month or more. Interviews are usually scheduled for a month in advance, so that should be about the backlog they have in re-scheduling, plus an extended time frame considering that less interviews will have to be conducted per day due to social distancing rules.

For everyone that did not have an interview scheduled by NVC yet, you can probably cut checking the status every day. After DQ, the case will remain at NVC until your interview has been scheduled.
