Words are cheap........If you haven't already done so, you should call the police and report the abuse....

In addition to the extortion, file charges with the police for the abuse as well, so it is documented. Good luck!

1) Stay safe

2) Submit a Change of Address (COA) with USPS. This can be done online.

3) Change the address on file with USCIS (AR-11, can be filed online).

4) Get a police report and/or a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) so he has to stay away. The report can also help if you ever deal with immigration again and they wonder why you stayed away form your spouse right after arrival.

The usps change of address - it says he's gonna get a notice about it, I don't want him to know that I changed the address and don't want him to know where I am staying

Then call USCIS and ask them to change it......and express your concerns about your husband knowing your location.......you will need your alien registration number and info on your visa.

In my state, you can get a safe address where your mail is redirected, which is different from your place of residence, so no one knows where you're staying.

I am in Massachusetts, I'm not sure which states are offering the service. You would need to contact the police or the Domestic Violence helpline to see if they're available in your state.  Please call them now, or chat online.
